教学过程

一．Warm-up

1．  Greetings

2．  Let’s  chant:     Sunny  Sunny    It’s  sunny.

                     Rainy   Rainy    It’s  rainy.

Cloudy  Cloudy   It’s cloudy.

Snowy   Snowy   It’s snowy.

二．Lead-in

1． Teacher ask: What ’s the weather like today?

Ss answer:  It’s sunny today.

Teacher show the picture of the sun, write the word on the blackboard, ask students to write it with the fingers, then  pin the picture on the blackboard.

2． Learn other words with the same way.

三．Presentation

1．Today we’re going to learn expressing the weather in a week.

Say: Today is Wednesday, Tomorrow is……. (Thursday)

Question: What’s the weather like on Thursday? ( show the picture)

Answer: It’s going to be snowy on Thursday.

2. Practice the dialogue:

-- What’s the weather like on Thursday?

-- It’s going to be snowy on Thursday.

( Teacher  ask ,Ss answer       Or: One ask, the other answer)

3 .  PPT shows the pictures of the weather from Monday to Sunday.

Let the students practice the dialogue

4. Practice in groups

Say: Please take out your cards, practice this dialogue in your group, you can ask and answer one another.

5.  Activities   (Group work)

Choose 2 groups to act out the dialogue

-- What’s the weather like on_____?

-- It’s going to be ____ on____ .

(4 students in turn: One of them choose a card and ask, the others answer.)

四．Extension(拓展延伸)

Making a plan based on the weather:

eg:    -- What’s the weather like on Monday?

-- It’s going to be sunny on Monday.

-- What are we going to do？

 -- We are going to ride the horses.

五．Match  and  Say（Page62）

1 Ask the students to match the pictures with the correct sentences.

2 Check the answers: Read in characters.

六．Let’s sing（Page63）

Learn to sing a song about the weather.
