Teaching aims
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Master new words and sentence patterns;
2. Have a preliminary understanding of the imperative sentence;
3. Talk about school rules and class rules;
4. Review the use of must.
Process and method: through listening, speaking and other activities to develop good listening habits and ability, and through independent study and group cooperation, learn to talk about how to get to a place.
Emotional Attitudes and Values:Students can talk about the way they and the people around them go to school, go to work, go home or travel. Students can be motivated to use English and learn to care about others.

Step 1: Lead in
T:Tell me what these signs mean

【教学设计说明】This part is to ask the students to tell the meaning of these common signs to introduce the topic of the lesson.
Step 2: work on 1a.
Language Goal:Talk about rules
Which rules are these students breaking?
Write the number of the rule next to the student.
【教学设计说明】The main purpose of this section is for students to learn the basic content and expression of the class plan, which will provide a foundation for later writing.
Step 3. work on 1b
Listen. What rules are these students breaking?Write the numbers after the names.
【教学设计说明】This section asks students to listen to sounds and test their listening and general use skills.
Step 4. Language points
1. “Don't+动词原形”是祈使句的否定
形式,意为“不要……;禁止……”,相当于
“You mustn't+动词原形”。
arrive late for与be late for的区别
2.must为情态动词,意为“必须,一定”。情态动词不能单独作谓语动词,必须和动词原形一起构成谓语。
must用于否定句时,mustn't意为“不允许,禁止”,而不表示“不必”。
以must开头的一般疑问句,若作否定回答,可以用needn't或don't have to,不用mustn't。
辨析on time与in time
3. ①listen to music意为“听音乐”,其中listen为不及物动词,其后接宾语时,要加介词to。
②辨析listen和hear
①in class是固定短语,意为“在课上;上课时”, after class意为“在课下;下课后”。
②辨析in class和in the class
有类似用法的还有:
①in hospital 住院 in the hospital 在医院里
②at table 吃饭 at the table 在桌子旁

A:What are the rules?
B:Well, we can't arrive late for class. We must be on time.
T: Now, could you please present your conversations for the class? Let`s turn the turntable and choose one team?
(Have Ss form pairs and practice the conversations in the picture. Walk around the classroom to monitor their work. Have Ss introduce their family members using the conversations as a model. Have Ss mingle and practice the conversations. Choose some teams to role-play their conversations for the class.)
