一、教学目标
(一) 语言目标
1. 词汇:能听懂、会说、认读新单词came, went, sat, stood, ran, sang, metre, race, sports, first, second, third, last;能听懂、认读新单词cheered, wanted。
2. 句型:能用“Who was first?” “Mary was first.”描述顺序;能用新学的单词对过去发生的事情做简单的描述。
(二) 应用目标
1. 能用序数词描述顺序,能在特定的场合正确运用序数词。
2. 能用已学动词的过去式对过去发生的事情做简单的描述。
3. 能听懂、会说A部分的对话。
二、教学重、难点
1. 重点:能用“Who was first?” “Mary was first”描述顺序;能用新学的单词对过去发生的事情做简单的描述。
2. 难点:序数词中th的发音;使学生理解在描述过去发生的事情时,come, go, sit, stand, run, sing有不规则的变化,相应地应该使用came, went, sat, stood, ran, sang,并能基本掌握这些单词的正确发音并加以应用。
三、教学准备
录音机、教学音频、有关图标的卡片、教学图片或多媒体课件。
四、教学过程
Step 1 热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)
1. Sing a song and say some chants
2. Free talk
T: What day is it today?
S1: Today is Monday.
T: When’s your birthday?
S1: It’s on the fifth of May.

T: When’s Children’s Day?
...
让学生说说自己的生日是哪一天,以及节日的时间,以复习已学过的序数词。
Step 2 新课呈现(Presentation1)
1. Elicit the ordinal number
T: Look, I have a pack of poker. How many cards are there? Let’s count. Now I am a magician. I’ll play magic.
T: The first is a King. Yes or no? The second is a 2. The third is a 3. The fourth is a 4. The fifth is a 5. The sixth is a 6.(用红色粉笔将词缀写在基数词后面,1. 2. 3.单独写)
T: What’s the seventh? Can you guess?
1st—first 2nd—second 3nd—third
4th—fourth 5th—fifth 6th—sixth
7th—seventh 8th—eighth 9th—ninth
10th—tenth
注意序数词中th的发音。
2. Read the words
T: These are the short forms of the ordinal numbers and these are the full forms. Can you find any regularities? Now read after me, each for twice.
3. Game: What’s missing?
学生朗读单词卡片,教师抽走一张卡片,让学生猜是哪一张。
4. Quick response
T: The first row, stand up. The second row. The third row. The fourth row. The fifth row. What row are you in? Good, you are in the first row. You are first. Anne is first. Now let’s have a PK, OK? Answer my questions as quickly as possible.
T: Who is third?
S1: Mingming is third.
5. Play a game: choose the card and do the action
T: Now let’s play another game. Choose one and do the action according to the card. Which one do you want? The first one or the third one?
S: I want the fifth one.
教师制作十张卡片,卡片的正面写上1~10,背面写上随机的1~10分分值及英文动作单词(如come here, go to school等),学生抽取卡片,按照卡片背面的提示做出相应的动作,并获得相应分值。
T: Wow, 5 points for this card. Good luck. You’ll get five points if you do the action correctly.
T: Come here/run/run fast/want to fly/sing a song/sit down/stand up/go to school.
T: What did he do just now? He came here.

(设计说明:做对一个动作可得1~10分。不同的分值写在卡片背面让学生自由选择。这部分的活动既让学生运用序数词描述顺序,又进行了 A部分的教学,让学生理解在描述过去发生的事情时,动词的形式有变化。)
- Learn the new word: cheer—cheered
出示多幅图片,让学生理解cheer的意思。

4. Learn part A
(1) 导入A部分,学习单词sports day, race和metre。
(2) 听A部分的录音,理解课文大意。
T: Yesterday was Sports Day at Mary’s school. It was a one-hundred-metre race. Listen to the tape and find out who was first/ second/ third.
(3) Check the answer.
(4) Read after the tape, then practice in groups.
The students read the text groups and help each other.
Step3 巩固拓展(Consolidation)
连线练习
(1) 将节日与相应的日期连线。
Children’s Day the twenty-fifth of December
Christmas Day the first of October
Teacher’s Day the first of June
National’s Day the eighth of May
Women’s Day the tenth of September
先连线,然后让学生模仿说:Children’s Day is on the first of June.
(2) 将动词与相应的过去式连起来。

Step 4 作业布置(Homework)
1. 听音频,读课文。
2. 课后或放学后,组内进行一次50米跑步比赛,并记录名次。
