    These are similar requests fr directins. Bth are crrect, but the first ne sunds less plite. That is because it is a very direct questin. It is nt enugh t just ask a questin crrectly. We als need t learn hw t be plite when we ask fr help.
    Gd speakers change the way they speak in different situatins. The expressins they use might depend n whm they are speaking t r hw well they knw each ther. It is all right t ask yur classmates direct questins because yu knw them well. Hwever, If yu say t yur teacher, “when is the schl trip?”, this might sund implite.
    But if yu say, “Excuse me, Mr. West. D yu knw when the schl trip is?”, this will sund much mre plite. Usually plite questins are lnger. They include expressins such as “Culd yu please ” r “May I ask ” It sunds mre plite t say, “Peter, culd yu please tell me yur e-mail address?” than “Peter, tell me yur e-mail address.”
    Smetimes we even need t spend time leading in t a request. Fr example, we might first say t a stranger, “Excuse me, I wnder if yu can help me” r “I’m srry t truble yu, but ...” befre asking fr help. It might seem mre difficult t speak plitely than directly. Hwever, it is imprtant t learn hw t use the right language in different situatins. This will help yu cmmunicate better with ther peple.

    plite作形容词,意为“有礼貌的;客气的”,常用于句型It’s plite t d sth.中,意为“做某事是有礼貌的”;它的副词形式是plitely;它的反义词是implite。

    4. Hwever, it is imprtant t learn hw t use the right language in different situatins. 然而,学会如何在不同的情况下使用正确的语言是很重要的。 如果主语是较长的动词不定式或一个句子, 为了保持句子结构的平衡, 避免头重脚轻, 通常用it作形式主语放在句首, 而把真正的主语放在句尾。
    常见的句型有:1) It is + adj. (+ ____ + sb.) + t d sth. 常用于此句型的形容词有imprtant, difficult, dangerus, necessary, useful, pssible等, 用来对t d sth. 进行说明。 e.g. It’s difficult fr us t finish the wrk in an hur.
    2) It is + adj. + ____ + sb. + t d sth. 常用于此句型的形容词有gd, kind, nice, clever, wise等,用来对sb.的性格、品质 等进行说明。 e.g. It’s kind f yu t say s.
