    Step 1 Language pints revisin
    1. Revise vcabulary related t bad weather. Ask students t lk at sme pictures and tell the English wrd fr each f them.
    2. Ask students t pen their bks at page 107 and d the wrd puzzle in Part B t find the wrds f the pictures. Then check the answers tgether: windy, snwy, thunder, rainy, scream, bmb.
    3. Students read these wrds tgether. Tell them snwy, rainy and windy are adjectives t describe weather cnditins. Ask them if they knw any ther adjectives abut different kinds f weather cnditins . Students talk abut that in grups.
    4. Shw sme pictures and g thrugh the adjectives abut weather cnditins with the whle class, e.g. sunny, strmy, cludy, etc.
    5. Ask students if they remember hw we can frm these adjectives frm nuns. Elicit answers frm students, then tell them we add ‘y’ t the end f a nun t frm such an adjective. But we shuld first duble the last letter f the wrds like fg and sun , then add ‘y’.
    6.Review vcabulary related t natural disasters. Shw sme pictures abut different natural disasters quickly. Invite students t tell the names f all these natural disasters as quickly as they can: rainstrm, snwstrm, sandstrm, fld, earthquake, typhn.

    7. Organize a grup talk. Ask when a natural disaster cmes, hw we can prtect urselves?
    8. Revise sme imprtant language pints thrugh free talk abut natural disasters. E.g. When an earthquake cmes, can we run wildly? N, we can’t. We shuld try t hide in a safe place and prtect ur heads.
    If we are trapped? What shuld we d? We shuld calm dwn and scream fr help.
    Is a fld dangerus? Yes, a big fld can wash everything away. And every year many peple lse their lives because f fld. etc.
    Step 2 Grammar revisin
    1. Say natural disasters are really terrible. They can cause great damage and lss f life. In the 1970s, there was such a big natural disaster hitting Tangshan, which is in Hebei Prvince f China.
    2. Play the recrding abut the earthquake in Tangshan and ask students t listen carefully and answer sme questins. Then talk abut the questins with students.
    3. Say Millie wanted t knw mre abut the earthquake in Tangshan. S she fund a vide abut it in the library. Let’s watch part f it tgether.
    Then ask what the vide shws us? --It shws us the situatin after the earthquake.
    We can see many sldiers there. What were they ding then?
    Step 3 Practice
    1. Say Sandy wrte a diary abut the snwstrm that hit Beijing n Friday,28th January. Please help her cmplete part f the diary using the crrect frms f the given verbs.
    2. Fill in the blanks with the right frms f the given wrds
