The stry began n 8 July,2017.Members f the Ursrey family,eight in ttal,were enjying an evening tgether at the beach. The bys had been struggling fr several minutes when Brittany and Tabatha Mnre,a married cuple frm Gergia,wandered by. They didn't see the bys at first,but they heard them.
They jumped int the water and easily reached the brthers,wh were still in fairly shallw water. The wman reassured the frightened bys and seized their skate bards,telling them they wuld be safe and then discvered that they,t,were nw in a wrld f truble.
They culdn't get back t shre and culd barely and nly ccasinally hit the sandy bttm with their feet. After a few minutes,it was clear t the wman that they were all trapped in a terrible whirlpl.

[江西南昌十中2021高二期中]Dr Faisal Zawawi,an tlarynglgist and member f the McGill Auditry Sciences Labratry,ntes that when a persn is expsed t lud nises,it can cause shrt-term hearing lss,but under nrmal circumstances the bdy typically is able t repair the lss f hearing within 72 hurs. Hwever,Zawawi warns that if symptms are nt reversed(好转)in the first 72 hurs,the damage culd becme permanent. Due t findings in previus studies abut it,Zawawi says that the team f researchers has suspected that smething may stp this repair prcess. Therefre,the team set ut t determine if caffeine culd be a cntributing cause f hearing lss. Accrding t the Medical Daily,the researchers tested what they suspected n female guinea pigs(FGP,雌性豚鼠).
T perfrm the test,24 female guinea pigs were split int three equal grups with each grup expsed in different levels f caffeine and lud nises. The researchers fund that the female guinea pigs that were nly affected by sund had their full hearing recvered by day. Hwever, the female guinea pigs that were affected by bth caffeine and lud nises never fully regained their hearing. Therefre, the researchers cncluded that caffeine is a likely cntributing cause f permanent hearing lss.
"This research cnfirms that while a cup f cffee may seem appealing after a lng night at a lud cncert, drinking caffeine prduces mre risks than benefits when it cmes t a persn's hearing. Althugh further research is required t understand the effects n humans, the results are prmising," says Zawawi. If the research prves successful, the remval f caffeine frm yur diet fllwing nise expsure culd prevent permanent hearing lss as the bdy will be mre able t repair itself naturally.
