    活动一:识别动词-ing形式的功能和结构
    1. Ask students t read the sentences and get what the functin f the -ing frm in each sentence belw is. And then have students express the same ideas withut using the -ing frm.
    Suggested answers:
    ①subject主语
    As yu can imagine, if yu get burnt, it can lead t very serius injuries.
    ②predicative表语
    The first and mst imprtant step in the treatment f burns is t give first aid.
    ③attribute定语
    It is best t run sme cl water and place burns under it, especially within the first ten minutes.
    ④adverbial(using)状语, bject cmplement(sticking)宾语补足语
    Use scissrs t remve any clthes if necessary,unless yu find that the fabric is sticking t the burnt skin
    ⑤ bject after a prepsitin介词后面的宾语
    T prtect the burnt area, yu can cver it with a lse clean clth.
    2. Replace and rewrite.
    (1)Ask students t replace each underlined part with a suitable -ing frm and rewrite the sentence as necessary.
