    活动一:识别语法(The functins and meanings f-ing frm)

    1.Ask students t read the sentences belw and discuss the functin and meaning f each-ing frm.

    活动四:情境练习(Rewrite)
    Ask students t read the stry n Page 18 and rewrite the underlined parts using the-ing frm.
    Suggested answers:
    Henry Nrman Bethune was a Canadian dctr with a very creative mind and a determinatin t help peple as a small by,he became very interested in medicine,deciding t becme a dctr .After he graduated frm medica cllege in 1916,Bethune wrked as a dctr in England the US,and Canada. He reinvented r redesigned ver 10medical instruments t make them mre useful. In 1938, Bethune left fr China,after hearing that many peple were dying in the war. Despite the difficult situatin,Dr Bethune did whatever he culd t assist the Chinese peple .Helping t rganise hspitals,he taught dctrs and nurses,and shwed peple hw t give first aid. Sadly,Dr Bethune passed away in Nvember the fllwing year and was buried in Shijiazhuang. After Dr Bethune’s death Chairman Ma Zedng wrte an article in memry f him, praising Dr Bethune as a her t be remembered in China.
