Period 3 (Section B 1a-1f)设计说明创设情境教授本课时新单词和短语,充分调动学生参与对话的主动性和积极性,然后利用活动1a—1c巩固所学单词、短语,寓教于乐,以达到学以致用的效果。活动1d-1e是结合日期等相关信息进行的听力训练。活动1f是听力的延续,让学生将听到的信息用角色扮演的方式进行语言输出。教学目标1. 知识目标:(1)掌握新单词:weekday。(2)掌握下列短语:the day before yesterday,the day after tomorrow,look after。(3)掌握句型:“—What’s today? —It’s Monday the 14th.” “—Can you play tennis with me? —Sorry,I can’t. I...”。2. 能力目标:能用英语向别人发出邀请;能用英语表达自己一周的活动安排。3. 情感目标:指导学生合理地安排自己的日程。重点难点1. 重点:(1)使学生掌握本课时的单词、短语和句型。(2)训练学生的听力技巧。(3)能用英语安排自己一周的活动。2. 难点:能用英语安排自己一周的活动。教学准备多媒体课件、录音机、磁带、日历。教学过程Step 1 Leading inShow the calendar of this month,ask and answer questions about today with students according to the calendar. T:What day is it today? S:It’s Thursday. T:Can you spell Thursday? S:Yes. T—H—U—R—S—D—A—Y. T:What’s the date today? S:It’s November 19th. T:What’s today? S:It’s Thursday,November 19th. Step 2 Presentation1. Use the table below to teach the new word and phrases:weekday,the day before yesterday,the day after tomorrow,look after. (板书新单词、短语)T:Look at the table. It’s Wednesday today. It was Tuesday yesterday and it was Monday...(停顿,让学生接着说the day before yesterday)Teacher writes “the day before yesterday” in the table. Teach “the day after tomorrow” in the same way. T:Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday and Friday are weekdays. Saturday and Sunday are weekend. Teacher writes “weekdays” in the table. 2. Talk more about the calendar with students. T:You know today is Thursday,November 19th. Then what day was it yesterday? S:It was Wednesday. T:What was the date yesterday? S:It was November 18th. T:What was the day before yesterday? S:It was Tuesday,November 17th. Step 3 Practice1. Work on 1a. Show the days of the week in a large monthly calendar. Point out the days of the week at the top of the calendar and ask a student to read these words aloud. Ask a student to point out today’s date,tomorrow’s date,the day after tomorrow’s date and yesterday’s date. Complete 1a,and then check the answers. 2. Work on 1b. Ask students to write the words and phrases“today,tomorrow,yesterday,the day before yesterday,the day after tomorrow,weekday,weekend” in the right places on the calendar in 1a. 3. Work on 1c. (1)Explain the new sentences:“What’s today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?”“It’s Monday the 14th.”Note:询问日期的句型是(以询问今天的日期为例)What’s the date today? ;询问星期几的句型是(以询问今天是星期几为例)What day is it today? 。(2)Students work in pairs to ask and answer questions about the days according to the calendar in 1a. Step 4 Listening1. Teach the new phrase. Show the picture to students. T:Look at the picture. They are Han Mei’s mother and grandmother. What is her mother doing? Ss:She is looking after Han Mei’s grandmother. (Help students to answer if necessary. )T:What does the phrase “look after” mean in Chinese? Ss:It means “照顾”. 2. Explanation. look after意为“照顾”,同义短语take care of。Ken often looks after his sister at home. 肯经常在家照顾他的妹妹。Can you look after my cat for me while I’m away? 我不在的时候,你可以帮我照顾我的猫吗? 3. Work on 1d. (1)T:Look at this picture. Do you know the boy? His name is Vince. What sport does he like,do you know? S:I think he likes playing soccer. T:What is he doing now? S:He is talking on the phone.
