Iead-in
Begin by asking students if they are members f any schl clubs and if nt, why nt? Use this pprtunity t intrduce the different types f schl clubs such as sprts clubs, academic clubs, art clubs, and music clubs. Explain the benefits f jining a club and hw it can enhance their high schl experience. Encurage students t share their interests and hbbies, and suggest clubs that might suit their interests.
Pre-listening activity
Divide the class int small grups and have them discuss what type f club they wuld like t jin and why. Have each grup present their ideas t the class. This activity will nt nly imprve their speaking skills but als help them t fcus n the tpic at hand. Encurage students t ask questins and share their pinins with each ther.
Listening exercise
Play a recrding r shw a vide clip abut a schl club, and ask students finish the exercise in the activity 2, then aheck the answer tgther. Ask students lk at the activity 3 and try t predict what the cnversatin mainly talk abut, the listen t the cnversatin 3, have students take ntes while listening. After the recrding, ask questins t check their cmprehensin and ask them finish the exercise. Encurage students t listen carefully and take ntes, emphasizing the imprtance f active listening in real-life situatins.
Pst-listening activity
Have students wrk in pairs r small grups t discuss what they have learned abut the different schl clubs. Encurage them t ask each ther questins and share their pinins n which club they wuld like t jin. This activity will help reinfrce their listening cmprehensin skills and als prvide an pprtunity fr them t practice their speaking skills. Encurage students t share their experiences r hearsay abut different clubs, and prvide feedback where necessary.
Interactive activity
Organize a listening cmpetitin where students have t listen t a recrding r watch a vide abut a schl club and answer cmprehensin questins in a shrt amunt f time. Divide the class int teams and have them cmpete against each ther. This activity will nt nly imprve their listening cmprehensin skills but als fster teamwrk and cllabratin. Encurage students t cheer fr each ther and prvide psitive feedback.
