    文章导语:霍乱是霍乱弧菌(Vibri chlera)引起的急性肠道传染病,具有发病急、传播快、波及面广的特点,是当今三种国际检疫传染病中的一种。
    ChleraChlera is a water-brne disease that is spread thrugh plluted water and fd.It is an illness caused by the bacterium1 called Vibri chlera.It prduces an entertxin(肠毒素) that causes painless,watery diarrhea(腹泻) that can quickly lead t severe dehydratin(脱水) and death if treatment is nt given. Mst peple infected with chlera d nt becme ill,althugh the bacterium is present in their waste fr 7-14 days.When chlera des happen,mre than 90% f cases are nt severe and are
    difficult t tell frm ther types f diarrhea.Less than 10% f ill peple develp chlera with signs f mderate r severe dehydratin.
    A persn may get chlera by drinking water r eating fd plluted with the chlera bacterium.The disease can spread rapidly in areas withut prper treatment f drinking water.The chlera bacterium may als live in the envirnment in dirty rivers and castal2 waters.Shellfish eaten raw can be a surce f chlera.Therefre,the disease is nt likely t spread directly frm ne persn t anther.
    Chlera can be simply and successfully treated by immediate replacement f the fluid3 and salt lst thrugh diarrhea.Patients can be treated by being given a mixture4 f sugar and salt t be mixed with water and drunk in large amunts.Peple wh develp severe diarrhea in cuntries where chlera breaks ut shuld seek5 medical attentin at nce.In a wrd,t avid chlera,we shuld develp a gd habit.We shuld eat well-cked fd instead f raw fd.
