Good manners are important to everyone of us. We have given a very simple criterion (标准)for what are good manners.
Take table manners for example. It's not polite to put your elbows on the table while eating because it doesn't have enough space for the person who is sitting next to you. It is important for you to reply to someone who wishes you “good morning” or says “hello, even if it is a stranger. If you don't return the greetings, the stranger will feel him/her not to be welcomed and not greet others easily again.
For parents and teachers, there is one criterion—do not tolerate (宽容) bad manners. Encourage your children to show good manners. But do not expect too much too soon. Children will learn slowly, but it is not a good idea to expect a threeyearold boy to know about good manners like an adult.
Good manners are quite similar around the world, though there are cultural differences in different countries. What is rude in Japan may be polite in America. However, you will be forgiven for not knowing the rules of the customs. You will not be excused for being careless in your own country. Always remember the rule of not making others uncomfortable.

根据文中“It is important for you to reply to someone who wishes you “good morning” or says “hello, even if it is a stranger.” 故选A。

46.to spend 47.has saved 48.a 49.because/as/since 50.on 51.her 52.places 53.what 54.carefully 55.easier
这里用到特殊疑问词+to do不定式的形式,故填to spend。
一台电脑a computer, 故填a。
根据句意可知前后句子有因果关系,表示因为除了because 之外还有since/as, 故填because/since/as。
在特定的某一天用介词on,所以是On Saturday,故填on。
56.preparation 57.celebration 58.look for 59.herself 60.be thrown
57.根据前半句中的invite his friends可知celebrate符合语境;再根据have a判断使用celebrate的名词形式celebration。
58.tell sb to do sth意为“告诉某人做……”
61.例文
The Chinese Meal and the Western Meal
Nowadays, more and more Chinese people invite their friends and family to eat Western meals. But in fact, is the Western meal more delicious than the Chinese meal?
Maybe not! I think one difference is the tone of the Western meal appears more elegant than that of the Chinese meal. But I don't think we should give up Chinese food. First, Chinese food has deep and rich culture. Second, full of nutrition and good taste with good looking are the characters of the Chinese meal, but a shortcoming of the Chinese meal is that there is no independent dishware. Everyone uses their own chopsticks to take food from a bowl or a plate. It seems not clean or polite.
However, as Chinese, I think we should keep our food culture. But independent dishware is necessary. Western food gives people good atmosphere, but it doesn't taste delicious enough.
