Pollution of Environment

Environmental pollution is not a rare phenomenon in modern society. It is human beings that have randomly consumed a quantity of non-renewable resources ,which give out a great of greenhouse gases. As a consequence, a variety of pollution has come about. All scientists subscribe to the view that increase in the earth’s temperature is duo to the burning of fossil fuels like coal, natural gas and so on. The greenhouse effect gives the earth’s surface the average temperature of 15degrees. It is that the temperature is going up that will result in a wide range of catastrophes, such as flood, drought, famine and so on. What’s worse, the circumstances is wide -spread, that is to say, all the globe. If human beings keep on putting up with the situation, it tends to become worse and worse. As the data of a graph shows, this trend is increasing per year. Some scientists believe that global warming will lead to many disasters, while others are opposed to this view.They state that the warming will be mild and the tendency will last long.

Here on behalf of the earth, as an educator, I advocate everyone to make a commitment to make a contribution to protecting the environment. In order to slow the growth of the green house gas and carbon dioxide in the air, we should leave electrical appliances without being casual about this,recycle cans, use saving-energy microwaves and plant trees to refresh our spirit while looking at them. Even if in the future outer space might provide us with new energy sources, we must ensure the safety of our existence in this planet.

On the whole, as long as we join hands with each other to reduce various pollution ,including nuclear instead of merely glancing at it,we can develop steadily and settle disagreements and conflicts among countries. Eventually, the presentation of the development of the world is harmonious.

The Experience of A Volcano Eruption

Last year, I had an unforgettable experience. As an excellent potential candidate, I was appointed as a volcanologist, whose job was to collect and evaluate the information for a database about volcano, typhoon, thunderstorm and hurricane. After that I made a diagram. In order to observe the volcano in a short distance, I lived in a bungalow alongside the volcano. My best friend, Tom, a novelist, also came with me for the appreciation of volcano eruption. After bathing, I went to the balcony to read documents when the volcano erupted suddenly. My friend was in panic,trembling and sweats of anxiety dropped from his face, as if he was unconscious at once. Seeing the case, I made my way to him and helped him wear protective suits, helmets and big boots to guarantee his safety in the foggy and uncomfortable surroundings.

Only after settling him down Did I have an opportunity to appreciate the splendid scene of volcano eruption. The ash and lava fountains shooting high in the sky varied from tens to hundreds of meters in height, which was absolutely fantastic sight. Walking out of heat wave, I glanced through my diverse precious equipment and found it burnt to the ground, however I was excited because we are sound and safe. Actually, the scene was splendid against the rainbow appearing in the sky.
