The prblem, hwever, is that the PCM turns int liquid starting frm the utermst layer, and the parts that are ht mve upward, while the parts that are still relatively cl mve dwnward.Thus, while the upper part may have cmpletely melted, the lwer part will have nt, and as a result, heat will penetrate int the building thrugh the area where the PCM is in liquid phase.In the end, the PCM becmes ineffective in cntrlling the indr temperature and is rendered useless.
