Arund the wrld, nly half f adults understand that humans are causing climate change thrugh activities that prduce greenhuse gases. But the picture is different fr kids. Previus wrk has shwn that children are mre engaged and mre knwledgeable than adults are abut climate change. The questin is, can we harness this t make a difference?
    “We had cme acrss this idea that kids are capable f influencing their parents. And when we say influence, we really mean just teaching them.” said Daniella Lawsn, a scial scientist at NC State University.“That's what we set ut t really investigate: can we design things in such a way that kids are able t teach their parents abut climate change. A parent is willing and able t listen t their children speaking t them instead f just an adult n the street r a different climate cmmunicatr. ”
    T test the idea, Lawsn set up a wildlife­based climate curse fr kids. This apprach was based n previus curses, but the team added a twist: invlving the parents. First, parents were invited t cme alng t an event that frmed a part f the curse. And that's nt all. “S we als had students interview their parents. And this interview never mentined climate change specifically. But it had questins like: hw have yu seen the weather change ver the last five t ten years? D yu believe the sea level is rising? Hw d yu think that culd impact ur cmmunities?”
    The study shwed that the curse did indeed increase cncern abut climate change: nt just amng the kids, but their parents t. And there were sme surprising findings in the results.
