Sentence Patterns

　do强调谓语动词

句式分析：句中的“do tell”属于“do(does/did)＋动词原形”结构，用来强调谓语动词，加强语气。

[例2]　We did need help those days.

　不定式作后置定语

句式分析：句中不定式to eat作后置定语，修饰名词place。

[例1]　I had gone to Maine looking for a place to work. 我去了缅因州，寻找一个工作的地方。
