      that、if 和 whether引导的宾语从句
      在复合句中,用作宾语的句子叫宾语从句。引导宾语从句的关联词有that、if、whether、wh、what、when、where、why、hw等。本单元学习that、if 和 whether引导的宾语从句。
      ① 由that引导的宾语从句
      当宾语从句是陈述句时,用that引导。that无词义,在从句中不充当成分,在口语或非正式文体中常省略。
      He said (that) he wuld finish the wrk n time.他说他会按时完成工作。All the students think (that) Mr Zhang is very humrus.所有的学生都认为张老师非常幽默。
      (1) 在并列宾语从句中,第二个that不可省略。He said (that) he liked maths and that he wanted t be a maths teacher.他说他喜欢数学,想成为一名数学老师。
      (2) 当主语是I,think、believe、expect、guess、suppse等表示“认为,猜测”意义的动词后跟that引导的宾语从句的否定式时,其从句谓语动词不用否定形式,而将否定式在主句中表现出来,表达从句的否定意义。I dn’t think we have met. 我想我们没见过面吧。
      ② 由if/whether引导的宾语从句
      当宾语从句的语意相当于一个一般疑问句时,常用if/whether引导,表示“是否”。if/whether在句中不充当句子成分,但不能省略。
      I wnder if/whether yu want t attend the meeting.我想知道你是否想参加这个会议。
      if和whether的用法及区别:一般情况下,二者没有区别,可以互换。if常用于口语中,whether比较正式。但在以下几种情况中,两者不能互换。(1) 其后紧跟r nt时,只能用whether,不能用if。 Nbdy knws whether r nt it will rain tmrrw.没有人知道明天是否会下雨。
      (2) 在介词后只能用whether,不能用if。The by wrries abut whether he has brken his mther’s heart.男孩担心他是否伤了妈妈的心。(3) 与动词不定式连用时,只能用whether,不能用if。I can’t decide whether t g r stay.我不能决定是走还是留。
      无论主句是陈述句还是疑问句,宾语从句都要用陈述语序。
      They say that they will have a three-day hliday next week.他们说他们下周会有三天的假期。D yu knw if he can finish the wrk n time?你知道他是否能按时完成这项工作吗?
      (1) 若主句为一般现在时,宾语从句可根据情况选择所需要的任何时态。
      He says (that) she is in Lndn nw.他说她现在在伦敦。He says (that) she came t Lndn last mnth.他说她上个月来伦敦了。
      (2) 若主句为一般过去时,则宾语从句也要用过去的某种时态。
      He knew (that) she liked mncakes.他知道她喜欢月饼。He believed (that) she wuld win the game.他相信她会赢得这场比赛。
      (3) 若宾语从句表示的是客观真理、自然现象或是格言、谚语等,无论主句是什么时态,宾语从句都要用一般现在时。
      The teacher tld us that the earth ges arund the sun.老师告诉我们地球围绕太阳转。My father said that a gd beginning is half dne.我的爸爸说良好的开端是成功的一半。

      crrect adj. 正确的;恰当的;得体的

      adj. (行为)合乎礼节的,得体的
      同义词为right,反义词为incrrect “不正确的”

      不管sb.为第几人称、句子用什么时态,必须用动词原形
