This past summer, I read the bk The Old Man and the Sea. It inspired me greatly.
The bk was written by the wrld-famus writer Ernest Hemingway. It is abut an ld fisherman’s 1 life. He spent many days n the sea trying t catch a fish, but his hard wrk was useless. Day after day, he wuld g back hme withut catching any fish. 2 , he wuld always wear a smile 3 his face. Finally, n the 85th day, a huge fish 4 and a fierce battle (激烈的战斗) began. With great 5 , the man finally wn his battle with the fish.
6 , n his way hme, several sharks attacked the man’s bat and ate the 7 he had caught. Few peple culd 8 such a terrible experience, but the ld man made n cmplaint (抱怨). Life culd be cruel smetimes. 9 , the ld man thught he culd still g back hme safely.
I really admire the ld man. He never 10 . He respected and lved everything in his life, gd r 11 . Sme peple think the ld man was a lser 12 he gt nthing in the end. I think, hwever, he was a 13 . He was very brave and ptimistic (乐观的). There are s many qualities that we can 14 him.
The ld man always said, “Man is nt made fr defeat. A man can be destryed but nt defeated.” N matter 15 happens, d nt give up and never cmplain.

The Great Barrier Reef, lcated ff the cast f Australia, is ne f the mst 1 natural wnders in the wrld. It is the 2 cral reef system glbally, stretching ver 2,300 kilmeters. This amazing place is nt nly a turist attractin but als a 3 ecsystem that supprts thusands f marine species.

Life fr a middle schl student can be very busy. Between hmewrk, exams, and extracurricular (课外的) activities, there is little time left fr urselves. We ften run frm ne thing t the next, like a bee that never stps. But it is imprtant t find a balance between wrk and rest. Withut balance, we can easily becme 1 .
Last semester, I learned this lessn the hard way. I wanted t get gd grades, s I studied fr many hurs every day. I gave up my hbbies. I stpped playing basketball with my friends. I even reduced the time I spent with my family. I thught I was being 2 . But sn, I started t feel tired all the time. I culdn’t fcus in class. I became irritable (易怒的) and ften argued with my parents. My bdy was telling me that smething was wrng, but I didn’t 3 t it.
Then, ne night, I tried t study fr a big test, but I culdn’t remember anything I read. My head hurt, and I felt like crying. I finally realized that I had pushed myself t far. I needed a break. I decided t change my ways.
The next day, after finishing my hmewrk, I didn’t pen my bks again. Instead, I went utside and played basketball with my neighbr. At first, I felt guilty, thinking I shuld be studying. But as I ran and laughed, the stress slwly left my bdy. I felt alive again. After just ne hur f play, I went back hme. T my surprise, I culd study much mre 1 . My mind was clear and fcused.
Frm that day n, I made a new plan fr myself. I scheduled my study time, but I als scheduled time fr relaxatin. I jined the schl basketball club and started reading fr fun again. I made sure t have dinner with my family every evening and talk with them abut ur days. These small changes made a big 2 . I was happier, healthier, and even my grades imprved. I learned that studying all the time is nt the 3 way t succeed. In fact, taking breaks helps yu learn better.
Nw, I want t share my stry with thers. If yu are feeling stressed, dn’t ignre it. Take a step back and lk at yur life. Are yu giving yurself enugh time t 4 ? Are yu ding things yu enjy? Remember, life is nt just abut grades and achievements. It’s als abut happiness, health, and relatinships.
I have a friend wh is still struggling with this. He studies all the time and never wants t g ut. I tried t talk t 5 , but he wuldn’t listen. He said he had n time t waste. I hpe ne day he will understand that relaxatin is nt a waste f time. It is an investment (投资) in yur health and yur future.
Finding balance is nt easy. It requires making chices and smetimes saying “n” t extra wrk. But it is wrth it. When yu have balance, yu have 6 . Yu have the energy t d well in yur studies and the time t enjy yur life. Yu can be a gd student and als a happy persn. These tw things are nt ppsites. They can g hand in hand.
S, my advice t yu is this: wrk hard, but als play hard. Study fr yur exams, but als spend time with yur friends. Read yur textbks, but als read bks fr fun. Give yurself permissin t relax. Yu deserve it. And when yu d, yu will find that life becmes much mre clrful and 7 .
I still remember that night when I culdn’t study anymre. It was a turning pint in my life. It taught me that I am nt a machine. I am a human being with needs and feelings. I need rest. I need fun. I need lve. And that’s kay. It’s mre than kay. It’s 8 .
Nw, every Sunday, I have a “n-study day”. I dn’t tuch any schl bks. I d whatever I want—play sprts, watch mvies, r just lie in bed and listen t music. This day has becme very special t 9 . It recharges my batteries and prepares me fr the new week. My parents supprt this idea. They say they are happy t see me smile again.
In cnclusin, dn’t wait until yu burn ut t learn this lessn. Start finding yur balance tday. Listen t yur bdy and yur mind. They will tell yu what yu need. And remember, taking time t relax is nt a sign f weakness. It is a sign f 10 . It shws that yu care abut yurself and yur well-being. S g ahead, take that break. Yu will cme back 11 and mre fcused. Life is a lng jurney. We need t pace urselves. We need t enjy the view alng the way, nt just rush t the destinatin. Find yur balance, and yu will find a 12 way t live.
