第二部分 Grammar 宾语从句(1)
【知识梳理1】宾语从句的核心概念
名词、代词、动词的- ing 形式或 t d 形式都可以作宾语,例如 buy a bk, help him, stp ding sth, want t d sth等。这些例子中的宾语是用一个单词或短语来表达的。
但是,当要用英语表达 “我知道你昨天去看电影了” 时,我们就无法在knw后用一个单词表达出 “你昨天去看电影了” 这个意思。“你昨天去看电影了” 结构中包含行为本身、行为的执行者和行为的承受者,是一个完整的句子,因此只能用句子表达。这种放在动词后面作宾语的句子,我们称为 “宾语从句”。
结构:主句 + 连接词 + 从句
例:I think that yu are right.主句 连接词 从句(作宾语)
语序:必须用陈述句语序!(主语在前,谓语在后)
❌:I dn’t knw where is he.
✅:I dn’t knw where he is.
❌:He asks are yu a student.
✅:He asks if yu are a student.
时态(最重要)
1)主句是一般现在时,从句时态不受影响,该用什么用什么。
例:He says he will cme tmrrw.He says he is reading.
2)主句是一般过去时,从句必须用过去的某种时态。
例:He said he was busy.He said he wuld cme.
3)从句是客观真理、事实,永远用一般现在时,不受主句影响。
例:The teacher said the earth is rund.

【知识梳理2】that引导的宾语从句
当谓语动词表示肯定的概念,如 “希望”“相信”“知道” 或 “说” 时,其后面的句子一般用 that 引导。that 没有任何词汇意义,只具有语法功能,目的是使读者清楚后面的句子是作前面动词的宾语,多数情况下 that 可以省略。
例如:I hpe (that) it will snw this winter.
我希望今年冬天会下雪。
I believe (that) we shall becme gd friends.
我相信我们会成为好朋友。
Betty thinks (that) trees can imprve the air.
Betty认为树木可以改善空气质量。
注意:并非所有的动词后面都可接 that 引导的宾语从句。常接 that 引导的宾语从句的谓语动词有:believe, expect, explain, feel, hear, hpe, imagine, prefer, prmise, reprt, say, see, tell, think, understand, warn, wish 等。

【知识梳理3】whether/if引导的宾语从句
如果我们要表达 “他不知道他们周六是否会去植树” 或 “我记不清以前是否见过他” 这样的不确定的概念时,从句就要用 whether 或 if 来引导,不能用 that。
例如:He des nt knw whether they will plant trees n Saturday r nt.
他不知道他们周六是否会去植树。
He asks whether /if we will g fishing n Sunday.
他问我们星期天是否会去钓鱼。
Tm wants t knw whether /if he needs t cme early tmrrw.
Tm想知道他明天是否需要早来。
⚠注意:在宾语从句中没有r nt的情况下,一般来说两个词都可以用。
I dn’t knw if he will cme.
I dn’t knw whether he will cme.
如果从句中有r nt的话,一般就要选择whether,构成whether… r nt的结构。
✅ I dn’t knw whether he will cme r nt.
❌ I dn’t knw if…r nt.
其他必须用whether的情况:
介词后面的宾语从句:I am interested in whether he will cme.
与不定式连用:I dn’t knw whether t g r stay.
