Regularly spending time in a sauna (桑拿房) may help keep the heart healthy and extend life, say Finnish scientists in the jurnal JAMA Internal Medicine.

The very nature f the Finnish sauna is designed t reduce stress, the researchers say. The sauna has been a gathering place fr family and friends fr centuries. And a basic sauna rule, which discurages peple frm discussing cntrversial tpics while bathing, is taught t the Finns during childhd.
The Finnish researchers suggest that saunas may prvide similar benefits t
exercise because the high temperatures can drive heart rates t levels ften achieved by mderate-intensity (中等强度的) physical activities.
S can sitting in a sauna take the place f exercising? “I dn’t knw if I wuld take a sauna fr exercise,” Dr Lee says. “But exercising and then taking a sauna
seems like a very healthy lifestyle.”

Rising sea levels, extremes f weather and mre drughts and flds will all
destry the wrld’s energy systems as glbal warming picks up its pace, a new reprt has fund.

“The time has cme t get real abut the challenges facing the energy sectr,” Frei said.
Philipes Jubert, executive chairman fWEC’s glbal electricity initiative and frmer president f Alstm Pwer, said large cmpanies are taking nte. “Leading businesses in this sectr are increasingly realising that business as usual is n lnger acceptable.”
