I was taught at a yung age t be afraid rather than t experience life. Dn’t ride a bike because yu might get hit by a car. Dn’t swim because yu might drwn. That’s why I was initially afraid t apprach thers. They might say n-hw culd I live with that rejectin(拒绝)?
A bk changed me. Near the end f the bk, the writer suggested trying ut what I had just read but t pretend it was like the training game in a sprt—when the games didn’t cunt. When my teams wuld lse frmal games, I culdn’t bear t watch. But when they lst in the training game. I didn’t care.

It was part f the business, but I didn’t let it get me dwn. I turned a negative int a psitive by reasning that every time I heard the wrd “n”, it meant I was ne step clser t “yes”. It’s amazing hw pwerful yu feel when yu remve the fear that stps yu frm ging after what yu want in life.
I still d my sales jb, and we have a lt f high-schl and cllege students wrking at the cmpany. I will pass n the advice that I learned many years ag and encurage them t use that idea fr whatever they want t achieve.

It’s OK t run when it’s cld utside. But is it OK t run when y have a cld? Many runners find the activity addictive. Running releases endrphins (内啡肽) int the brain, which are respnsible fr md changes. The harder yu run, the mre endrphins released, and the happier yu are. Sme studies shw this endrphin rush allws peple t cntinue running even when injured r sick.
And that brings us t the pint f this article--why peple cntinue their running even when they’re sick. Mst f us curl up in bed with sme chicken sup and the remte cntrl when we’re under the weather. But runners ften hit the rad. Are they helping r hurting themselves by jgging with a cld?
The best way t decide whether yu shuld exercise is t emply what dctrs call the “neck check”. Feel free t g running if yur cld is “abve the neck”. Dctrs advise against prceeding with yur exercise if yur symptms(症状) are “belw the neck”.
Sme peple think that running in cld temperatures will actually make them sick. But this isn’t really true. Yu can’t freeze yur lungs r windpipe (气管). Yur bdy heats the air yu breathe. When the air is particularly cld, yu may feel a burning sensatin in yur chest as yu breathe. If that’s the case, try cvering yur muth with a scarf r wearing a ski mask . That’ll help heat up the air befre yu breathe it in.
Keep in mind, if yu have an infectin (感染) in yur chest r thrat, running utside can indeed make things wrse. But if yu have a simple head cld, it wuld be fine t take that run, even if it’s cld utside.
