数词的用法
【知识积累·练前热身】
数词是用来表示事物的数目大小和顺序先后的词,也就是表示“多少”和“第几”的词。
表示数目的多少的词叫基数词。
基数词的构成。

1. 表示事物的先后顺序的词称为序数词。
2. 序数词的构成。
构成方法
示例
一般情况在基数词后加-th 构成相应的序数词
fur—furth, thirteen—thirteenth
整十数的序数词的构成是将基数词词尾的y变为ie,再加-th
twenty—twentieth, frty—frtieth
两位及两位以上的基数词变为序数词时,仅将个位数变成序数词
twenty-ne—twenty-first,
ne hundred and fifty-three—ne hundred and fifty-third
特殊情况特殊记
ne—first, tw—secnd, three—third, five—fifth, eight—eighth, nine—ninth, twelve—twelfth
数词的用法:
1. 表示年、月、日。
(1) 表示“年”用基数词,通常先读前面两位数,再读后面两位数。如:
1949 读作 nineteen hundred and frty-nine 或 nineteen frty- nine
1902 读作 nineteen hundred and tw 或 nineteen zer tw
(2) 表示“月”, 用“介词in +某月”。如:
in July 在七月
(3) 表示“日期”,前面要用定冠词the,表示具体某日要用介词n。如:
n the twenty-furth 在二十四日
(4) 表示“某年某月”用介词in,表示“某年某月某日”用介词n。如:
in August 2017 读作in August, twenty seventeen
n Nvember 23, 1986 读作n Nvember the twenty-third, nineteen eighty-six
2. 表示时刻。
(1) 表示整点, 用“钟点数 + ’clck”来表示 (’clck常省略)。如:
five(’clck)五点 (5:00)
(2) 表示半点, 用“钟点数 + thirty”或“half + past + 钟点数”表示。如:
six thirty/half past six 六点半(6:30)
(3) 表示几点几分,用“钟点数+分钟数”表示。半小时内,也可以用“分钟数+past+钟点数”表示。超过半小时,也可以用“60- 分钟数 + t + 下一个钟点数”表示。如:
eight seven/seven past eight 八点过七分 (8:07)
seven fifty/ten t eight 八点差十分 (7:50)

连词的用法
▲and,but,because的基本用法
单词
用法
例句
and
“而且、和”,用于连接两个意思对等的单词、短语或句子
He likes Chinese and PE.
他喜欢语文和体育。
but
“但是”,常用于连接两个有转折语气的单词、短语或句子
I like PE,but my sister desn’t.我喜欢体育,但是我妹妹不喜欢。
because
“因为”,用来解释直接的原因,回答why提问时必须用because
—Why d yu like PE?——你为什么喜欢体育?
—Because it’s exciting.——因为它令人激动。
【句型结构】
1.and连接两个分句时,分句本身都有自己的主语,如果第二个分句的主语与第一个分句的主语相同,则第二个分句中的主语可以省略。
2.but 前后的两个句子、短语或单词在意义上形成鲜明对比,but 用来连接两个分句或两个较长的短语时,but 前面一般要加逗号。
3.because的基本句型:“句1+because+句2”,或“because+句1,+句2”。
