    T discurage this practice,many vide and live-streaming platfrms,including Duyin,Kuaishu and Bilibili,have remved vides that shw fd waste,and have prmted the message t “stp fd waste and eat reasnably”.
    In June 2020,the United Natins warned that the wrld is n the verge f the wrst fd crisis in 50 years. Accrding t the Fd and Agriculture Organizatin f the United Natins,abut a third f the wrld's fd—1.3 billin tns—is wasted every year. In China alne,50 millin tns f fd ends up in landfills every year,accrding t Beijing News.
    Recently,campaigns against fd waste have been further prmted. In August,President Xi Jinping stressed the need fr safeguarding fd security and stpping fd waste.
    Accrding t China Daily,restaurants and catering assciatins in mre than 18 prvinces and all 4 municipal cities have issued guidelines t cntrl fd waste.
    In Shanxi Prvince,lcal restaurants have been asked t serve half prtins t avid waste. The Wuhan Catering Assciatin prpsed that restaurants adpt the"N-1 mde". Fr example,a grup f 10 diners shuld nly rder fd enugh fr nine peple first. Mre fd is nly brught t the table if required.
    In additin,a natinwide “Clear Yur Plate" campaign has been launched nline. Users f Sina Weib are encuraged t share phts r vides f empty plates after finishing their meals.
