    1. What is the difference between sentences (a) and (b)?
    Past cntinuus passive is used in sentence (a) and past simple passive is used in sentence (b). In sentence (a) the actin was being dne while in sentence (b) the actin was already finished.
    2. Which f the sentences emphasises prcess and which emphasises result?
    Sentence (a) emphasises prcess and sentence (b) emphasises result.
    Mre examples frm the text:

    过去进行时的被动语态表示过去的某个时间点正在进行的被动动作。
    Eg. A nature park was being built in this area in rder t prtect wild animals. The wrkers were nt being trained. Was a new library being built in ur schl just then? What was being dne t the machine then?
    Often there is little difference between the past cntinuus passive and the past simple passive, except that the past cntinuus passive suggests that the event(s) were in prgress at a time in the past r that they were happening as backgrund r temprary events. Whether we chse t use the past cntinuus passive r past simple passive ften depends n hw we see the past event(s).

    过去进行时的被动语态和一般过时的被动语态的区别:
    过去时行时的被动语态表示的是过去正在进行且尚未完成的被动动作, 一般过去时的被动语态表示已经完成的被动动作。Eg. This rad was being built this time last year. (去年正在修建) This rad was built last year. (去年修建完成的)
    过去进行时的被动语态一般不与表示一段时间的状语或表示次数的状语连用, 这时可以用完成时态的被动语态。Eg. The car is being repaired twice. 改成: The car has been repaired twice.  The huse ver there is being built fr tw mnths. 改成: The huse ver there has been built fr tw mnths.
