该板块的活动主题是“分享关于一个道德故事的看法”（Share your opinions about a moral story）。此处的读写板块聚焦人的社会责任。教材选取了一则寓言故事《路中央的石头》作为阅读内容。该板块要求学生写故事评论，目的正是让他们对故事进行由表及里的分析，正确解读作者的观点，同时合理组织语言，表达自己的感悟和看法。

结合图片，让学生谈谈对寓言的了解，激活他们的背景知识。

Step 1 Pre-writing

1. 让学生快速阅读寓言，试着用一两句话概括其大意。
2. 让学生完成活动1，阅读文章，回答相关问题。

         What was the king’s idea for teaching an important lesson to his people?

         What was the response from most of the people?

         What did the young girl think and do when she saw the coins?

3. 让学生完成活动2，将所提供的表格补充完整。
4. 让学生完成活动3，结对探讨故事内涵，并联系生活实际，谈谈现实生活中相似的状况或场景。

         What do you think this fable is trying to tell us? Do you think the king was wise? Why or why not?

         Can you think of times in your own life when you felt and acted like the girl or like the other people in the story? Give examples.

Step 2 While-writing

1. 带领学生阅读课本提示，了解故事评论的篇章结构和内容要点。
2. 引导学生完成活动4，为刚刚所读的寓言写一篇故事评论。

Step 3 Post-writing

1. 自改。对照写作提纲，检查自己所写的故事评论内容是否有遗漏。
2. 同伴互改。参照活动5中所提供的清单，给同伴提出修改意见，并按照同伴提出的修改建议对自己的初稿进行修改。
3. 作品展示。学生在组内推选出优秀的故事评论在课堂上展示或朗读分享。
