    Period 6 Writing (3a-3b)

    一、教学目标

    1. 语言知识目标:

    (1) 熟练掌握本单元重点词汇与句型。

    (2) 熟练掌握本单元重点语法一般过去时、一般将来时、现在进行时、现在完成时等各种时态及宾语从句,并能准确应用于写作等练习中。

    2. 语言技能目标:

    (1) 书写自身经历中难忘的人与事

    (2) 能就该话题表达感受

    3. 情感态度价值观目标:

    本单元以“share past memories and experiences, look ahead to the future”为话题,引导学生运用I remember doing sth.句型表述对过去的回忆和展望未来,对生命中的人与事心怀感恩。

    4. 学习策略目标:

    本节课重在培养学生交际策略,鼓励学生积极用英语和他人交流。

    5. 文化意识目标:

    学生能以正确的心态面对过去当下和将来。

    二、教学重难点

    1. 教学重点:

    (1) 掌握本单元重点单词、句型和语法,通过运用来加深理解。

    (2) 书写自身经历中难忘的人与事。

    2. 教学难点:

    能运用本单元单词、句型和语法等完成相关写作任务。

    三、教学方法

    本节写作课采用活动教学法和合作教学法相结合的方法。

    四、教学过程

    Step 1 Revision

    Step 2 Pre-writing

    3a Think of a person or an event from junior high school that you will never forget. Make some notes about how this person or event changed your life in some way.

    In your story, try to explain the following:

    Who is the person? / What is the event?

    When and where did you first meet this person? / When and where did this event happen?

    How did you feel when you met this person? / How did you feel when this event happened?

    How did this person help you? / What happened later?

    How has this person’s advice / event changed your life?

    Step 3 While-writing

    1. 1) How to write about a person.

    2) Show a sample writing structure and explain the sample writing:

    Sample writing 1:

    The teacher I will never forget

    How time flies! Our junior high school life is coming to an end. Three years has passed since I became a middle school student. I have many good memories of my teachers.

    The teacher I will never forget is my English teacher Ms. Wang. She was very kind and friendly. She helped us not only in class but also after class. About two years ago, Ms. Wang noticed that I was worried about my poor pronunciation. She gave me many suggestions to improve it. She also gave me every possible chance to speak in class. With her help, my pronunciation greatly improved.

    I want to say thanks to Ms. Wang, and I wish her a healthy and happy life in the future!

    Sample writing 2:

    The one person from my junior high school days that I will never forget is Mrs. Wong, my English teacher in Grade 7.

    When I first started Grade 7, I was shy and did not dare to speak to anyone. My English was not poor and I felt nervous when I had to answer questions in class. I would have problems speaking even though I knew the answer. I felt quite unhappy with myself.  One day Mrs. Wong spoke to me after class. She encouraged me to speak slowly. She also told me that she believed I could speak well if I practice more. I was touched by what she said and it made me work harder on my speaking skills.

    Mrs. Wong continued to encourage me and I became even more confident. I improved so much that I won an English speech contest that year! I will always be grateful to Mrs. Wong for her advice and support. 

    3) Make a summary and make a complement.

    2 How to write about an unforgettable thing

    1) Show a sample writing structure and explain the sample writing:

    My junior school life is coming to an end. I had a lot of sweet memories. Of them, I’d like to share with you my favorite story about a basketball game.

     Our team got a good start by beating two strong teams. However, our captain hurt his finger during the third game. He is the brain of our team. When thinking of losing of the soul of our team, we were all down and couldn’t concentrate on the next match. Our captain found this and encouraged us to fight on and cheered us up. With the help of our captain, we played as well as the first two games. Seeing our captain waving his injured finger, we made our biggest efforts in the following games. With the cheers of our students, we won the champion. During the celebrations, we threw our captain into the air.

    I would never forget it because I understood the importance of teamwork for the first time.

    2) Make a summary and complement.

    On that day, I began to feel that I have the duty for my life. And I must be stronger.  

    I felt I was growing up, and I should be responsible for myself.

    How exciting and unforgettable the experience was! 

    It’s an important day for me and I’ll learn to be all the time. 

    Junior high is a precious memory without pressure, competition and lots of homework. 

    From this experience, I learnt that I should be careful. If I am careless, I will lose a lot of chances.

          2. 字迹工整,语言流畅,表达准确,逻辑清晰。
