Step 1 Lead-in
1. Greet the class. Say:
Good morning/afternoon, Class. Nice to meet you.
Explain good morning/afternoon if necessary.
2. Review
Review the conversation learnt last lesson by making a conversation like this:
A: Hello! I’m... I’m from... What’s your name?
B: Hi! I’m... I’m from...
A: How are you?
B: I’m fine/good, thanks. And you?
A: I’m fine/good, thanks. Nice to meet you.
B: Nice to meet you, too.
Step 2 Presentation
Teach the new words student, four, five and sentence This is… by introducing the students in the picture.
This is Li Ming. He’s a student.
This is Yang Hao. He’s Li Ming’s friend. He’s a student, too. He’s in Class Four.
This is Wang Mei. She’s a student, too.
This is Li Lin. She’s Wang Mei’s friend. She’s a student, too. She’s in Class Five.
Step 3 Practice
Practice how to introduce someone using the picture and the sentences in the box.

1. Good morning, Wang Mei.早上好,王梅。
good morning早上好
是人们早晨或上午见面时的问候语,较为正式,应答语仍为good morning。类似的还有:good afternoon下午好, good evening晚上好。

—Good morning,Li Lin!李琳,上午好!

This is…这是……
常用来介绍某人或某物。若介绍远处的人或物,则常用That is...。
This is Mary.这是玛丽。
This is my teacher, Mr. Li.这是我的老师,李老师。
That is Jenny. 那是詹妮。
【拓展】若介绍两个或两个以上的人或物,则用These are...或Those are...
These are my friends.这些是我的朋友。
3. He’s in Class Four.他在四班。
be in+班级/年级 在某班/某年级
其中班级或年级的第一个字母要大写;其后的数字可用阿拉伯数字,
也可用英语数字,若用英语数字,则数字单词的首字母也要大写。
如果要表达几年级几班,则先说班级,再说年级。
Li Ming is in Class Seven, Grade One. 李明在一年级七班。
4. Jenny, who’s the man over there?詹妮,那边那位男士是谁?
(1)Who + be +...? ……是谁?
是询问某人是谁的特殊疑问句。其中,who是疑问代词,意为“谁”,引起特殊疑问句。
—Who is that girl? 那个女孩是谁?
—She is my sister.她是我姐姐。
(2)over there 在那里
可在句中作表语或定语。
My book is over there.我的书在那里。
The boy over there is from Canada.那边的那个男孩来自加拿大。
