Unit 3 Language in use 1

一、教学目标

1. 熟练掌握下列词汇和短语：relaxing, careless, exciting, better, than usual, keep fit…等。

2. 掌握并运用下列句型：

(1) This week’s match is already more exciting.

(2) It is more difficult to practice in winter.

(3) We are training harder than usual.

(4) This year we want to do better.

3. 能够掌握部分双音节和多音节形容词的比较级的用法。

4. 能够掌握副词的基本用法以及副词的比较级的用法。

5. 能够运用形容词的比较级形式、副词和副词的比较级形式比较不同的体育项目，表述个人观点。

6. 通过了解不同的体育运动及不同人的体育爱好，提高学生参与体育竞技项目时的团队意识，鼓励有特长的学生为集体争光。

二、教学重点及难点

重点：

1. 掌握本单元的单词和重要句型。

2. 掌握部分双音节和多音节形容词的比较级的用法。

3. 掌握副词的基本用法以及副词的比较级的用法。

难点：

运用形容词的比较级形式、副词和副词的比较级形式比较不同的体育项目，表述个人观点。

四、教学过程

Step 1 Warming-up

Look at the pictures and talk about them.

Step 2 Presentation

Read the sentences and learn the rules of comparatives.

Step 3 Practice

1. Do some grammar exercises and check the answers.
