[探究] 。bring指事情本身很无趣,常用来形容物;而bred指“感到厌烦的”,用来形容人。

What's the matter with the watch?(=What's wrng with the watch?)这块表怎么了?
[探究] matter n. 问题;麻烦 matter 指困扰的事、麻烦的事或故障、障碍,前面要加定冠词the,与介词with 连用,后跟名词或代词。
[拓展] matter作动词,意为“(对人)重要,有重大的关系”,常用于疑问句或否定句。

[探究] mind v. 介意;讨厌;反对。never mind 意为“不要紧;没关系;不要担心”,用于安慰、鼓励对方。
[拓展] (1)mind常用来表示委婉、客气的请求。含动词mind的常见句式有:
① “Wuld/D yu mind ding sth?”意为“你介意做某事吗?”

② “Wuld/D yu mind+人称代词宾格或形容词性物主代词+ding sth?” 意为“你介意某人做某事吗?”

③“Wuld yu mind ding sth?” 的否定形式是在ding的前面加nt。

注意:在回答这种问题时,必须注意英、汉两种语言之间的差异:
a. 表示不反对或不介意时常用以下句式:N, please d./Certainly nt./Of curse nt…
b. 表示反对或介意时常用以下句式:Srry./I'm srry./I wish yu wuldn't.
此时表明反对后可再陈述拒绝或反对的理由。

[探究] (1)be gd at意为“在……方面(学得、做得)好,擅长……”,介词at表示“在某方面”,后可接名词、代词或动词ing形式,其近义词组为“d well in”。
(2)be gd at的比较级和最高级形式为“be better at (在某方面更擅长)”,“be best at(在某方面最擅长)”。Judy is better at singing than dancing. 比起跳舞,朱迪更擅长唱歌。
