教学目标
1、能听懂、会说、认读新单词:an old woman, help old people on the road, make tea, make cakes, clean their homes, make them happy, slow, weak等。
2、能用句型:What can I do?I can help…提供帮助。
3、能听懂、会说A部分。
4、能表达自已可以为老人提供哪些帮助。
教学重点:
能听懂、会说、认读新单词:an old woman, help old people on the road, make tea, make cakes, clean their homes, make them happy, slow, weak等。
能用句型:What can I do?I can help…提供帮助。
教学难点:
1、能正确理解want to 、can 、ask...to do...、及 himeself 的用法。
2、能理解句子:I can ask mom to make cakes for them.和We can help them to clean their homes。
教学过程:
Step 1 Warming up
1.Greetings.
2.Chant:
Sing,sing.I can sing.
Dance,dance.I can dance.
Sweep,sweep.I can sweep.
Clean,clean.I can clean.
Walk,walk.I can walk.
Run,run.I can run.
【设计意图】
通过Chant与相互问侯等方式与学生交流,拉近了师生距离,消除了学生的紧张情绪,精心编排的Chant复习巩固动词,为下一步教学做铺垫。
Step2 Presentation and drill
1.New words and new sentences.
a.T: You can run.You can run fast .That’s great.But look at this woman .
Can she run?Can she run fast?
Ss:No,she can’t.
T:She can’t run fast. She is old .She is an old woman.
Teach the phrase:an old woman.
b.Show a picture of an old man,say the phrase:an old man.Show two pictures of the old people.
T:Look at the two pictures .She is an old woman.He is an old man.They are the old people.Teach the phrase:the old people.
(2)Teach the words :weak/slow.
T:Are the old people strong?The old people are not strong.They are weak.
T:Can the old people run fast?Oh,the old people can’t run fast.They are slow.
(3)T:The old people are weak and slow.They need our help.What can I do for old people?Teach :What can I do?I can....(Write a title.)
T: What can I do for old people?(Show the pictures and make sentences.)
T :I can help old people on the road.
S1:I can make tea/coffee..

【设计意图】通过Chant中的I can run.自然过渡呈现新知,引入到新词组的教学并适时引出课题,以词带句,环环相扣,层层深入,让学生逐步领会新知,轻松愉悦的学习。
2.Game:Do and say(Practise the words and phrases)
【设计意图】通过学生感兴趣的游戏方法操练巩固新单词与词组,课堂气氛活跃,避免枯燥的朗读,提高学生学习兴趣。
3.Group work:Let’s talk.

【设计意图】通过两人一组问答巩固新句型,进一步检测学生掌握新知的程度,并抛砖引玉,适当拓展相关词汇,达到新知与旧知融会贯通的目的,进行知识的整合,让学生有更多有效的输出。
Step 3 Practice
1.Listen to the tape of Part A and answer:
T:You can do many things for old people.Now,let’s listen carefully. What can they do for old people?
a.What can Anne do for old people?
b.What can Mingming do for old people?
2.Listen to the tape again and try to repeat.
3.Read after the teacher.
4.Read together.Ss read the text .
5.Read by themselves.
6. Read and act.
【设计意图】让学生不打开书听音回答问题,培养学生的听力能力,听音跟读是为了更好的模仿其语音语调,更标准的朗读,培养提高其朗读能力,跟老师读,更好的理解长而难的句子,齐读自读熟读课文,为后面的表演做准备,层层递进的朗读方式,符合小学生的认知规律。
Step 4 Consolidation & Assessment
1.Disuss:
T:Let’s go to the Old People’s Home.What can you do for old people? (Write and say)

T:We should often visit our grandparents and help them do some things.We should respect the old and love the young.
【设计意图】小组讨论成立帮助老人的爱心队,写下自己能为老人做的事情,全面培养学生听说读写以及团队协作的能力,进一步巩固检测本堂课所学内容的掌握程度,让所学的知识应用于生活,并上台展示,教师总结教导学生要经常帮助老人从身边做起且付出行动,适时更好的渗透尊老爱幼的德育教育。
Step 5 Homework
1.Copy the new words and phrases four time.

3.Talk about how to help old people with your family.
