You may be asked to do some housework.可能会叫你们做家务。 2.复合形容词 Sixteen-year-olds在此句中用作名词,意为“16岁的青少年”。“基数词-量词(单数)-形容词”构成的词通常作形容词,作前置定语,而且这一整体是一个词,后加s表示一类人或事物。如: Six-year-olds should retire.六十岁的人该退休了。 The fifteen-year-olds are going camping this weekend. 本周末,这些15岁的学生将去宿营。 3.否定转移 “I don’t think+(that)宾语从句”表示“我认为……不……”。若宾语从句跟在think ,believe ,suppose ,expect等表示“想;认为”的动词之后,而且主句的主语又是第一人称时,在否定从句时,句子的否定体现在主句上,这种现象叫否定转移。如: I don’ think it’s a good idea. 我认为那不是一个好主意。 I don’ think (that) he will be late for school tomorrow.我认为他明天不会迟到。 4. get sth. done get their ears pierced意为“打耳洞”,此处get用作使役动词,相当于make 或have,意为“使,让”。 “get/have+宾语+过去分词”结构意为“使某事被做”或“让某人做某事”。其中过去分词表示的动作往往是别人做的,与句中的主语无关。如: Can you get the work finished on time? 你能准时让人完成这项工作吗?
