There was a young woman, and she was proud of the growth of the flowers in her flower garden. Raised by her grandmother, the woman was taught to love and care for flowers. So, like her grandmother, her flower garden was second to none.
One day, while looking through a flower list that she often ordered(订购) from, a picture of a plant caught her eyes. She had never seen flowers like that before, so she ordered it at once. When it arrived, she planted it at the foot of a stone wall at the back of her yard. It grew quickly, with beautiful green leaves all over the vine(藤), but there were no flowers. Five Tricks to Make Your Memory Better
Remembering things, like names, dates, and other fine details is just like playing basketball. It’s also a skill that we can practice. The five memory tricks below can help train your memory.
Imagine(想象) what you want to take before you get it
When walking into another room or passing through a doorway, something changes our short-term(短期的) memory and makes us forget what we went there for. Think about your purpose before you leave the present room, you’ll increase(增加) your chances of remembering what you want.
    Learn the chunking technique(组块技术)
We can only remember a small number of things for a short time—about four to seven different items. The chunking technique is helpful for us to get past this limitation(限制). We can group some items into a larger whole, then we can remember a large number of things at a time.
Make good use of the power of music
We forget names and numbers so easily, except our favorite songs or nursery rhymes(儿歌) from childhood. Music helps us remember things well. If you want to learn a foreign language, try training with music videos with words of this language. In a word, singing can help us remember things.
Create(创造) mnemonic pegs(助记符) to remember long lists
Even without the music background, you can use rhyme to remember things like shopping lists. You can build a connection(联系) between the items and the things that rhyme. For example, 1 rhymes with a gun, 2 rhymes with a shoe, and so on.
Take care of your health and learn new skills
Sadly, our memory falls as we get older. Taking care of our basic health, though, can help you brain work in a proper way. That means exercising and staying fit, and keeping your brain healthy too by learning new skills.

need需要;can可以;may可能;have to不得不。根据题干可知是回答情态动词must提问的句子,根据“I’m afraid you ”可知表示“恐怕……”,应用have to。故选D。
    23.C
after在……以后;before在……
it’s它是;its它的;it它;that那个。该句为句型“think+it+adj.+to do sth.”,意为“认为做某事……”,it作形式宾语,不定式是真正的宾语,故选C。
    25.D
So如此;But仅仅;Anyway无论如何;Otherwise否则。根据“I don’t think so.”和“the story itself is interesting.”
How long多长;How soon多久以后;How far多远,询问距离;How much多少(提问不可数名词的量)、多少钱。根据“About half an hour’s ride.”
