1. 词汇:进一步复习巩固B部分词汇;能听懂、会说、认读visit, the Great Wall, last week。
2. 句型: “Where were you last week?” “I was...”。
3. 能在2-3种情境中谈论自己或他人过去某时间曾到过的地方。
4. 能借助插图阅读和理解课文D部分的小短文,并完成表格。
5. 能根据表格谈论自己或他人过去某时间旅游过的地方。
能运用句型谈论去过的地方;能读懂并理解D部分的短文。
掌握D部分短文中出现的动词过去式及“主语+动词过去式+其他. ”句型结构。
课件、多媒体、录音机和磁带。
Step 1 Warmup & Revision
1. Greetings.
2. 教师利用课件展示我国部分省市的特产图片,并作适当介绍,开阔学生的眼界,拓宽学生的知识面。如:
Beijing—Beijing Roast Duck
Tianjin—baozi Hangzhou—silk, tea
Xinjiang—grapes Kunming—flowers
Chongqing—hot pots
Step 2 Presentation & Practice
C Let’s Practise
1. 教师课件展示句型:“Where were you yesterday?” “I was at home.”学生反复认读句型,教师讲解句型及一般过去时的意义及用法。
2. 师生练习。
A: Where were you yesterday/last week/last month?
B: I was in bed/at home/at school/at work.
3. 学生四人一组,通过问答练习完成本部分表格。
D Let’s Read
1. 教师课件展示一些全国各地著名景点的图片,学生们可以边看边谈论这些景点都在哪个城市。也可以让学生自己说一说曾经去过的景点,谈谈自己的感受,教师借机教学the Great Wall,the West Lake。
2. 教师让学生初读课文,在文中画出Mr White去过的城市名以及描述这些城市特点的句子。
3. 学生再读课文,圈出文中的动词过去式:went, visited, saw, liked, said,稍后教师板书这些动词的原形及过去式并进行配对练习。
4. 学生研究课文,完成文后的问答练习。完成问答练习前,教师引导学生先理解四个问句并要求学生尽量用完整的句子回答问题。
5. 教师播放录音,学生听录音跟读课文。
6. 教师讲解课文,并核对文后问答练习的答案。
7. 学生读课文,并尝试根据文中插图按时间顺序描述Mr White上周去过的地方。
Step 3 Consolidation & Extension
Pair work
教师准备两组词卡,一组为过去的时间短语,一组为表示地点的地点短语,请两名学生上台抽取一张词卡,然后用词卡中的短语以及本单元的句型编对话,如:
A. last week B. in Shanghai
A: Where were you last week?
B: I was in Shanghai.
Step 4 Summary& Homework
1. 小结:师生共同总结本课时所学的主要内容。
2. 作业:(1)听录音,朗读D部分课文;(2)调查家人或朋友昨天或上周末的去处,填在调查表中。

C部分要求学生进行小组活动,完成调查表。 D部分难度加大,要求学生能根据短文内容回答问题。动词过去式是学生理解的难点,文段中出现的几个常见动词的过去式(如went,said, saw等),教师可通过简单的单词配对练习让学生比较这几个动词的原形和过去式形式,本节课只要求学生在课文中感知并理解一般过去时的用法即可,下面两个单元还将进一步学习一般过去时。
