    Language practice
    概念:在从句中作宾语的句子叫作宾语从句。宾语从句三要素:连接词、语序、时态。
    宾语从句的连接词。 连词that, 只起连接作用, 在从句中不作句 子成分, 也无词汇意义, 在口语中常被省略。 例:He knew (that) he shuld wrk hard. 他知道他应该努力工作。2. 连词 if / whether, 意为“是否”。它们起连接作用, 在从句中不充当任何句子成分, 但不能省略,在口语中多用if。 例:Tm dn’t knw if / whether his grandpa liked the present. 汤姆不知道他的爷爷是否喜欢这件礼物。
    一般情况下, if 和whether可以互换, 但 以下3 种情况只能用whether:① 在不定式前: 例:He desn't knw whether t stay r nt. 他不知道是否要留下来。② 在介词后: 例:It depends n whether it is ging t rain. 这取决于天是否下雨。③ 与r nt连用: They are talking abut whether t g there r nt. 他们正在讨论是否去那里。
    3. 疑问词引导的宾语从句疑问词在句中既起连接作用,也作句子成分, 又有实际意义。 连接代词: wh、whm、whse、what、which。 连接副词: when、where、why、hw。wh 在从句中作主语、表语;whm在从句中作宾语;whse在从句中作定语;what、which在从句中作主语、宾语、表语或定语; when、where、why、hw在从句中分别作 时间状语、地点状语、原因状语、方式状语。
    例:The teacher asked the new students which class he was in.老师问新同学他在哪个班? I wnder where he gt s much mney. 我想知道他从哪里得到那么多钱的。She desn't understand what yu said just nw.她不明白你刚刚说的是什么。D yu knw wh was the first man t invent the cmputer?你知道是谁第一个发明了电脑吗?Let’s discuss hw we can reach ur destinatin within a shrt perid f time.咱们讨论一下我们在短时间内如何能够到达目的地。
    宾语从句的语序。宾语从句的语序用陈述句语序, 即: 连接词 + 主语 + 谓语 + 其他。不用疑问语序。 Can yu tell me where will we g?(×) Can yu tell me where we will g?(√)2. 陈述句变为宾语从句时, 要注意人称和 时态的变化, 语序不变。 She said, “I will leave a message n the desk.”  → She said(that)she wuld leave a message n the desk.3. 一般疑问句和特殊疑问句变为宾语从句时, 也要注意人称和时态的变化, 后接陈述语序。 “Where are the tickets?” I asked him. → I asked him where the tickets are.
