    1.What happens? happen作动词,意为“发生”。该词常用来指偶然事件或不好的事情发生,不能用于被动语态。常用结构:sth. happen t sb./sth.某人/物发生了某事。例:What happened t yu?你怎么了?

    拓展①take place一般指非偶然性事件的“发生”,即这种事件的发生一定有某种原因或事先的安排。例:Great changes have taken place in ur hmetwn in the past ten years.在过去的十年里我们的家乡发生了巨大的变化。②cme abut表示“发生、产生”,多指事情已经发生了,但还不知道原因,常用于疑问句和否定句。例:When mther wke up,she didn't knw what had cme abut.当母亲醒来的时候,她并不知道发生了什么事。

    3. N ne knew me. n ne意为“没有人”,相当于nbdy,用来指人,不指物,其后通常不接f短语。当它作主语时,谓语动词用单数。例:N ne tells yu that yu lks beautiful when yu smile. 没人告诉你,你笑起来很漂亮。

    be afraid t d sth. 不敢做某事(强调动作) be afraid f (ding) sth. 担心/害怕(做)某事 (强调出现某种后果)。 The by was afraid t climb the ladder, because he was afraid f falling dwn frm it. 这个男孩不敢爬梯子,因为他害怕从上面掉下来。
    5. Every time I heard the ther students talking and laughing, I felt even mre lnely.(1)every time表示“每次”。在本句中引导一个时间状语从句。every time相当于于each time。例:Every time/Each time I ask yu t d smething, yu always say yu are t busy. 每次我让你做点什么,你总是说太忙。
    (2)hear sb. ding sth. 听见某人正在做某事; hear sb. d sth. 听见某人做了某事。 例: — D yu ften hear Wei Hua read English in his rm? 你经常听到魏华在他房间里读英语? —Yes. Listen! Nw we can hear him reading English in his rm. 是的。听!现在我们可以听到他正在他房间里读英语。
    (3)even为副词,意为“甚至”,用于修饰比较级。比较级还可以用much、a lt、a little、a bit 等词(组)修饰,表示不同的程度。例:He is much strnger than I.他比我强壮得多。
    6. One day, my classmates were talking with their friends, but I sat in silence. silence作名词,意为“寂静,无声”。它作不可数名词。其形容词形式为silent。常用短语:in silence安静地,沉默地。例:The teacher is angry and the students just sit in silence.老师很生气,学生们都安静地坐着。They heard the stry ut in silence. 他们静静地听完故事.
    7. Suddenly, I felt the tuch f smething bright and friendly. bright作形容词,在此意为“快活而生气勃勃的,欢快的,明朗的”。例:She gave me a bright smile.她对我粲然一笑。
    拓展bright作形容词时,还有以下含义:①明亮的,光线充足的。例:His rm is bright.他的房间光线充足。②聪明的,伶俐的。例:She is the brightest student in her class.她是班上最聪明的学生。
    8. Day by day, I learnt t trust peple, and they include me in their circle f friends. (1)day by day一天天地,逐日。该短语只能作状语,相当于as time ges by。例:It's getting clder day by day. 天气一天天冷起来了。 (2) trust n. & v. 信任,相信”。例:A gd marriage is based n trust. 幸福的婚姻是建立在互相信任的基础上的。If yu break yur wrd, he will never trust yu again. 如果你失信了,他就再也不会相信你了。
    (3)include作动词,意为“包括,把……列为一部分”。它强调把某人或某物纳入其中,作为一个部分。例:—We're ging t have a party. 我们将要举行一次聚会。 —Dn't include me. 我不参加。拓展①including作介词,意为“包括……在内,包含”。被包含之人或物要跟在其后。例:The ttal fee is 300 yuan,including the breakfast.总费用是300元,包括早餐在内。
    ②included是include的过去分词,它常作后置定语,被包含之人或物要放在其前。例:There are 40 peple in the classrm,the teacher included.教室里有40个人,包括老师在内。(4)circle作名词,意为“(熟悉的、相关的人形成的)圈子”。常用搭配:circle f friends朋友圈。例:I have a big circle f friends.我有一大堆朋友。
    9. we stick tgether like glue. stick作动词,意为“粘,粘贴”。其过去式和过去分词都是stuck。它指用胶水、糨糊、黏结剂等粘贴,也可指一个人或一个物体依附于另一个或两者互相依存。拓展①stick作动词,还可意为“坚持,遵守”。常用短语:stick t坚持,其后接名词。②stick作名词,意为“棍,棒”。它为可数名词。常用搭配:walking stick拐杖。
