Step 1 Greeting & Review● Greet students as usual.● “Yesterday we learned about different birthday foods around the world, do you still remember them?”Show students some pictures of birthday food. Help them to retell the passage using the the languages in last period.Step 2 3a Fill● “Let’s learn about an “ Ice-cream and Pancake House in 3a. Try to fill in the blanks in the ad with the words in the box”● Remind them of the given words in the box and the uncompleted passage. Encourage them to fill in the blanks by themselves.● Have different students show their answers by reading the sentences. ● Encourage students to read the passage together. Step 3 3b Imagine & Write ● “Imagine you have a restaurant. Write the foods and their prices.” Show them a chart, encourage them to fill in the information by themselves. ● Have them show their answers. ● Now I’ll show you my chart. Then help them to report the information using the language “ We have....for.... Step 4 3c Write ● “Just now, we filled the information about our own restaurant. Next, let’s write an ad for our restaurant. The sentence structure may help us.(Remind the sentence structure on the right.) ● Give them an instruction of writing. Then give them a clue.Then encourage students to write their own ads.● Ask some of them to show their own ads. ● Show the sample to students,then have them rewrite it or correct their own ads.Step 5 Self Check 1 ● Call attention to the chart.Have them put the words they learned in different groups as many as possible. ● Check answers, remind them of countable and uncountable nous.Step 6 Self Check 2 ● Call attention to the uncompleted conversation. ● “ Try to complete the sentences with the correct forms of the there be form structure.” Remind them of different forms of “ there be”. ● Check answers by asking them to read it. Show them the points of “there be”. Step 7 Self Check 3 ● Ask them to write a conversation with the help of the clues. They may work in groups. ● Show their own writings.Step 8 Summary and Homework ● Point out the structure of “there be” and target languages. ● Finish the exercise books.
