Step 1 Structures review

1.    Hold up the picture side of each card in turn. Have the children name the object on each card.
2.    Hold up each card in turn again. Say “This is a (bag).”Use some correct names and some incorrect names. Have the Ss answer yes or no. If the answer is no, have the Ss then say, “This isn’t a (pen).This is a (pencil).

Step 2 Practise

1.    Play the first sentence. Then play it again and have the Ss point to the correct character as they listen to the tape.
2.    Repeat the procedure for the other five pictures.
3.    Play the tape again. This time have the Ss number the pictures as they hear the sentences.

Step 3 Structures Review

Point to the first picture and ask “Who is she”? Elicit the correct sentence, She’s Ann. or She’s his sister.

Repeat the procedure for the pictures of Ken, Kate, and Mocky.

Repeat the procedure for the other pictures, saying “He?” or “She” to elicit yes or no.
