一、写作任务
本单元的话题主要是介绍人物各方面的变化，包括外貌、性格、心理、学习、人际交往等，要求能正确使用used to 结构描述一个人过去的外貌、性格、爱好等。能正确使用still, not...anyone, no longer, always, really, quite, so, never, seldom等词汇来表达变化的程度。
范文：
某英文杂志社正在举办题为“How I’ve Changed!” 的征文活动，请你写一篇英语短文介绍你的变化，然后向该杂志社投稿。
要点：对自己过去与现在的情况进行对比，着重介绍最重要的变化。

How I’ve Changed!
My life has changed a lot in the last few years.
I used to be very shy and I had no friends. I used to be afraid of giving a speech in public. But now I become outgoing and have made several good friends. I’m not shy anyone. I used to collect in my free time, but now I like drawing when I’m free.
The most important change in my life was that I became interested in speaking English. When I was in Grade 8, my English teacher told me that my pronunciation was very good but I still needed more practice. She encouraged me to speak more English and then I started to practice more. Little by little my spoken English became better and better, and I became more and more confident when I spoke in public.
People sure change.
