一、学习目标
1. 语言目标
1) 学习并掌握词汇 bookstore ,homework, travel, science, page, finish, few, Harry Potter.
2) 掌握句型It’s fun to…; Do you often…?
2. 能力目标
Let students learn some new words and knows how to read some words.
3. 情感目标
通过阅读大量的课外书籍,培养学生广阔的视野。
二、学习重难点
1. 重点:教会学生新的单词,新的句子,学会辨别不同单词的细微的发音不同。
2. 难点:句型的讲解以及让学生熟练掌握生词的使用语境等问题。
三、教学内容
Step 1 Warm-up and Review
1. Greeting each other.
2. Review what have been learned last class by competition.
Step 2 Lead-in
Lead in the title by asking and answering questions.
T: Where do you buy books?
S: Book shop/Bookstore…
T: Do you like to go to the bookstore?
S: Yes.
T: Now, let us go to the bookstore!
Step 3 Presentation
1. Present new words of this lesson. Play words games “击鼓传花”.
2. Present part one, practice sentence drills:
A: Let’s go to the bookstore!
B: How can we get there?
A: We can ride our bike/ take the bus. B: Great, let’s go.
3. Listen to the tape and answer questions:
Q1. What is Danny looking for?
Q2. Does Danny have a map?
Q3.Does the lady know the way to the bookstore?
4. Read the text and translate the sentences one by one.
5. Present main sentences:
Excuse me? Where is …? Can you help us? Go down this street and turn left at the traffic lights.
Step 4. Practice
1. Do phrases translation: go to the bookstore/ take the bus / get off/ get lost/ on the way to …/ look for.
2. Make a dialogue like this?
A: Excuse me? Where is bookstore?
B: It’s over there. /There it is. /Here it is.
A: How can I go there?
B: Go down this street. Turn left /right at the traffic lights. Then go straight and you can see the bookstore.
A: Thank you!
B: You are welcome.
Step 5 Consolidation
Read after the tape and finish exercises on page 83.
Step 6 Summary and Homework
Sum up the main points of this lesson. Recite new word and part two.
