Step 1 Lead in (PPT 3-7)		1. Show some pictures to Ss and ask : What kind of snacks do you like to eat? How do they tastes? Can you describe them? Which taste do you like best? 2. Make Ss discuss with partners,then look at the colorful food and divide them into different tastes. Try to say something about them .				通过图片，引导学生将食物分成不同的口味，学习新单词，导入1a。
Step 2 Presentation (PPT 8-9)		Work on 1a,1b. 1. Show pictures of potato chips, lemon, ice-cream, and salted duck eggs to Ss to look. Talk with the class about these foods and ask Ss to describe their taste. The words in the box describe how food can taste. Write them under the correct pictures. Some pictures have more than one word. 2. Check answers in class and make Ss read the words. 3. Guide Ss brainstorm different food . What other fruit is sweet/sour? What food is crispy/salty? Make them write the names of different foods after each word. 4. Call some Ss to write their lists on the blackboard.				将1a的食物分成不同的口味。然后在每一种不同的口味后面写出一种不同的食物，熟悉新单词。
Step 3 Listening (PPT 10-11)		Work on 1c,1d. 1. Make Ss read the sentences in 1c. Try to predict what we are going to hear. 2. Play the tape for the first time for Ss listen and try to get the rough meaning. 3. Play the tape for the second time and Ss circle T or F. 4. Play the tape once again.Check their answers. 5. Make Ss listen again and complete the sentences. 6. Check answers and make Ss read the short passage.				听力练习使学生对薯片的历史有详细的了解，并完成两个听力任务。
Step 4 Practice (PPT 12-15)		Work on 1e. 1. Ask Ss to work in pairs to make a conversation about the invention of potato chips. Use the information in 1c and 1d. A:Did you know potato chips were invented by mistake? B: Wow, I didn’t know that. Who invented them? A:... 2. Work in pairs. Have a discussion about the foods. Do you know what they are?
