一、allow一词的用法
Teenagers should be allowed to choose their own clothes.青少年应该被允许选择自己的服装。

"allow"一词有三种用法搭配
1.be allowed to do sth 被允许做某事
2.allow sb to do sth 允许某人做某事
3.allow doing sth 允许做某事
二、情态动词的被动语态
Students should be allowed to do homework with friends.学生应该被允许和朋友一起写作业。

"情态动词被动语态的结构":
情态动词should/can/may/must...(not)+be+过去分词
如例句:should(not)be allowed to do sth.
三、get/have sth done
Students should not be allowed to get their ears pierced.学生不应该被允许穿耳洞。

"get/have sth done"意为“(让别人替自己)做某事;使...被...”
四、need一词的用法
[点拨]
need作实义动词:
(1)主动语态:need sth 需要某物 need to do sth 需要做某事
(2)被动语态:need to be done;need doing sth 需要被做

一、表达(认为...不..)观点的句型
-I don't think sixteen-year-olds should be allowed to drive. 我认为16岁的孩子不应该被允许骑车。
-I agree. They aren’t serious enough.他们不够严肃。
[点拨]
"I/we don’t think"意为"我/我们认为...不...";
这是一个否定前移的主从复合句。
I/we think 后面的宾语从句如果是否定含义,则须将否定词前移到主句上。
类似于think 这一用法的动词还有:believe
该句的回答:(肯定)I/we agree.(否定)I/we don't agree with this.
二、询问对方认为某事是否应该被鼓励的表达
-Do you think teenagers should be encouraged to make their own decisions? 你认为青少年是否应该被鼓励自己做决定?
-No, I don’t agree with this. Teenagers are too young to make their own decisions. 不,我不同。他们太年轻了,以至于不能做决定。
[点拨]
"Do you think+某人+should be encouraged to do sth?"用于询问对方认为某事是否应该被鼓励。
该句的回答:(肯定)I/we agree.
(否定)I/we don't agree with this....;I disagree.
三、表达某人不应该被允许做某事的句型
-Teenagers should not be allowed to have part-time jobs.青少年不应该被允许做兼职。
-I disagree. They can learn a lot from working. 我不同意(这一观点)。他们能从工作中学习很多。
[点拨]
"某人+should not alowed to do sth."用于表达某人不应该被允许做某事。对于带观点,对话另一方也可以发表自己的看法:I think so./I disagree.
四、询问在某条件下是否可能被允许做某事的句型
-Do you think we may be allowed to take photos if we don’t use a flash? 你认为如果我们不用闪光我们有可能拍照吗?
-If you don't use a flash, then it may be OK.你不用闪光,那就可以拍。

"Do you think we may be allowed to do sth if+从句?"用于询问询问在某条件下是否可能被允许做某事。该句是一个主从复合句做宾语从句的句子。

一、strict一词的搭配

1.be strict with sb. 对某人严厉
The mother is strict with her son. 妈妈对她的儿子很严厉。
2. be strict in sth. 对某(事)物要求严格
Teachers are strict in your homework.老师对你的作业要求很严格。

英语口语中一个直接拒绝对方的表达用语,强调不赞同别人的观点,或根本没有可能按照其要求去做事。

年满十八岁者有选举权。
Even five-year-olds do not want a party every day.
就算是5岁的孩子也不想天天聚会。
sixteen-year-old 通常只做形容词
Sixteen-Year-old Hans stepped forward.

times 时光;岁月;时代
除times 一词外, 有时人们还会使用days 表达类似含义。
In those days, people used to write a lot more letters.

against 介词,表示反对
表示“反对”“违背”时,反义词为for。若表示“强烈反对”,一般与strongly搭配。
They are strongly against the idea.
他们强烈反对这个意见。
7.Only then will I have a chance of achieving my dream.
这是一个部分倒装句, 当“only + 状语” 位于句首表示强调时,其后的句子用部分倒装
