Did you do anything special? Yes. I did buy something nice. 3. To improve students’ speaking and listening abilities about the past events. Processes and Methods: Task-based and communication method. Group work. Cooperative Inquiring Learning. Emotion objectives: Get them to know well about the importance of showing love to parents and be thankful. Stimulate the patriotic enthusiasm of students. |

教学过程 | 1. Warming up : lead in 1) Free talk with students:. Where did you go last vacation? How did you get there? What did you do? How was your vacation? 2) Ask some of the students to give a report according to the conversations between the teacher and students. 3) Watch a videos about the trip to Hong Kong. Ask students to talk about the trip. How did the man travel? How was the trip? How was the weather.... 4) Show students the pictures and ask them to talk about the pictures. How was the ...... It was.....(terrible, interesting, ....) 2. Presentation: 1) Show the pictures of 1a. Ask them to match the adjectives with the pictures. 2) Read the adjectives loudly to get familiar with them. 3) Ask students to make sentences with the words:delicious expensive exciting cheap terrible cheap boring. Then students discuss whether the adjectives describe things in a positive way or negative way. Then put the words in the chart of 1b. (positive: delicious, cheap,exciting. Negative: terrible, expensive,boring) 3. Cooperative Inquiring Learning 1) Pre-listening activity: Look at 1c on page4 and answer the following questions: What’s the girl’s name in the conversation. Does she have a best friend? How did she like her vacation? Ask students to predict what they will hear. 2) Watch a video about the trip. Talk about the trip: Where did she go?(Hong Kong) 3) Play the tape for students to answer the questions: Where did Lisa go on vacation?(She went to Hong Kong) Did she do anything special there? What is it?(Yes, she went to a fun park) Did she buy anything for her best friends?(Yes, she did.) Did Lisa like her vacation? (Yes, she did.) 4)Listen again and fill in the blanks (1d) (answers: great,exciting,expensive, friendly, delicious) 4. Practice and consolidation 1) Pair work: ask and answer the questions about Lisa’s trip 2) Act the conversation out according to the samples. 3)Group work: Listen again and help students to finish off the mind map. 4)Retell the conversation about Lisa’s trip in Hong Kong. Check the answers together with the students. 5). Point out the key adjectives for students to create their own report about Lisa’s trip in Hong Kong. 6) Finish off the translations: Answers: On my next vacation, I want to go to Hong Kong. That seems really interesting. On my next vacation, I don’t want to climb the mountains in the rain. That sounds really terrible. She went to Beijing on vacation last summer, it was really great. She visited her friends there, She loved her friends’ home cooking, it was really delicious Hi, Lisa.How was your vacation? It was great! I went to Hong Kong with my family. Did you do anything special there? Well, we went to a fun park.
