教学目标 | Knowledge and skills: 1. To learn to talk about past events by using the simple past tense ; 2. To master the usage of new words and sentence patterns: Words: anyone, anywhere, wonderful, few, quite a few, most Sentence patterns:A: Where did you go on vacation? B: I went to the mountains. A: Did you go out with anyone? B: No. No one was here. Everyone was on vacation. Phrases: stayed at home, went to SW, went to Summer camp, went to the mountains, went to the beach, visited my uncle, visited the museums,buy anything special 3. To encourage students to communicate with others. 4. Try to improve the students’ skills of listening, speaking and writing. Processes and Methods: Task-based and communication method. Group work. Emotion objectives: 1. To help students enjoy life by learning to enjoy different kinds of activities. 2. Get them know well about the importance of showing love to parents and be thankful. |

教学过程 | 1. Warming up : lead in 1) Watch a video and talk about Peppa Pig’s vacation. (1) Where did she go on vacation? (2)Who did she go with? (3) How did she go? (4)What did they do? (5)Did they go fishing? (6)Did they make a fire? Help them to answer the questions to review the usage of the simple past tense. And in this way to lead in the Topic: Where did you go on vacation. 2) Free talk: Ask students about their weekend: lead in the compound indefinite pronouns: anything, anything special, anyone interesting. Ask students to give their reports 3) Showing the pictures of different vacation activities and help students to use these phrases to talk about the vacation activities. Make them be familiar with the target phrases in this period: visited museums;went fishing, climb the mountains; stayed at home, went to the beach, went to summer camp(went camping); went to the mountains, went to Central Park 4) Teacher ask different students: Where did you go on vacation? What did you do? Did you .....? Help them answer: Yes, I did. No, I didn’t. This step is aimed to help students get worming up by reviewing how to use the simple past tense. 2. Presentation: 1) Show the new words on the screen. Teach the new words. Read after the tape. 2) Show the pictures of activities and ask students to guess what they did on vacation. Present the key phrases in this period: stayed at home, went to New York City, visited my uncle, went to summer camp, went to the mountains, went to the beach, visited museums 3) Read the phrases loudly to get familiar with them. 4) Practice the phrases by making conversations: A: Where did you go on vacation? B: I went to ..../ visited.... 3. Inquiring learning 1) Match the activities with the pictures(a-g) 1a 2) Check the answers with students. 3) Read the phrases together loudly. 4) Play the tape for student to finish 1b, and students discuss the answers, give the correct reasons. Then show their answers with the reasons. 5) Check the answers. 6) Work in group. Try to fill in the blanks to complete the conversations after listening to the tape again. 7) Check the answers with students. 8) Make conversations about talking about the five kids’ activities: A: Where did... go on vacation last weekend? B: She/ he...... 9) Listening 2a Listen to the tape and finish off the chart, then check the answers with students. Point out the usage of the compound infinite pronouns such as : Did you do anything interesting? Did you meet anyone interesting. 4. Practice and consolidation 1) Role-play conversations between Grace, Kevin and Julie. 2) Fill in the blanks according to the conversations in 2a. 3) Check the answers. 4) Read loudly about the description of the conversations. 5) Get students to retell the conversations according to the elements of the vacations: Who.... Where.... What.... How.... 6) Consolidation: Choose the right words to fill in the blank to get strengthen the mastering the usage of the compound infinite pronouns; Translate the sentences to practice the sentence structures and the usage of the simple past tense. 5. Summary 1) The language points: the compound infinite pronouns, the simple past tense. 2) The new words and phrases 3) The sentence structures 4) Teaching the students how to behave to show their love for parents and be thankful. 6. Homework 1) Talk about your vacation with your partner. 2) Preview the new words and phrases.
