    Student Preparation: pre-class preparation

    教学过程

    1. Lead in

    (1)  Lets review: Yesterday we learned two diary entries. Did you   

    remember what Jane did in Penang? Let’s say together!

    (2)  Lets talkThere are also many interesting places in Beijing .  

    Can you tell us where they are?

    (3)  Lets thinkWhat can we do in Beijing?

    Where can we visit in Beijing?

    What food can we eat in Beijing?

    1. New words

    duck [dʌk] n.鸭肉;

    dislike [dɪs'laɪk] v.不喜欢;厌恶 n.不喜爱;厌恶;反感

    the Palace Museum  [ˈpæləs] [mjuˈzi:əm] 故宫博物院

    1. Pre-writing

    (1)  Finish 3a and check the answers .

    (2) Ask the students to answer the question: Did you go somewhere interesting ? And then use the questions in 3b to help the students to answer.

    4. While-writing

    (1) Write a travel diary like Janes on page 5. Use your notes in 3b.

    (2) Explain the requests and tips of writing a travel diary.

    5. Post-writing

    (1) Show the sampling and analyse the framework of writing.

    (2) Role-play the conversations between Paul and Anna.

    6. Exercises

    Finish the self check and check the answers.

    教学反思

    In the last period of this unit, writing practice is the most important.We can use the model in 3a and the questions in 3b to teach the students how to write a diary. The students must learn to use the simple past tense and the first person while writing a diary. Besides, while we are practicing words and expressions about the main topic, the teacher should help the students review the simple past tense, the past forms of verbs and indefinite pronouns. And tell them to do more practice after school.
