Unit 10 I’ve had this bike for three years. 

(Section B 1a-1d) 

学习目标：

知识与能力： 1. 学会运用“现在完成时态”描述家乡的建筑物；

2. 能够有条理的介绍自己的家乡。

过程与方法： 3. 通过结对活动、小组合作学习，学会用“目标句型”介绍家乡。  

情感、态度、 4. 培养学生热爱家乡的情感，激发学生建设家乡的热情。

价值观：      

教学重点：运用for, since描述家乡的建筑物。

教学难点：运用本节课的重点及搜集整理的资料来介绍自己的家乡。

教材分析：本单元是在Unit 8和Unit 9的基础上进一步学习现在完成时——表示从过去某时开始持续到现在的动作或状态。而本节课是Section B的第1课时，是一节听说课。学生在已经学习了“现在完成时态”的基础上，重点学习运用“现在完成时态”谈论家乡的建筑物，学会有条理的介绍家乡。同时本节课也为下节课的阅读《家乡情怀》做好语言知识的储备与情感的铺垫。

学情分析：通过Unit8, Unit9和Unit10 Section A的学习，学生已经学会并理解了“现在完成时态”意义与用法，通过课前对家乡信息的搜集与整理，学生对家乡也有了一定的了解与认识，为上新课做好了充分的资源准备。但是学生灵活运用“现在完成时态”的能力不足，期待通过本节课的学习，强化灵活运用的能力。

教学活动设计：

Step 1. Lead in.

Show a picture of Xianyang Olympic Sports Center. Lead the students to realize the 16th Games of Shaanxi Province will be held in Xianyang, Xianyang is our hometown, more tourists will come to our hometown and we feel proud to have this big event and introduce our hometown.

设计意图： Through this way, I can lead to the main topic of this period. At the same time, get ready for the following steps of both discussions of places in our hometown and the emotion of the hometown..

Step 2. 1a

Learn about different places in the hometown by traveling around the city with the friend Lucy. Meanwhile they can practice answering the question: how long has it been here by helping Lucy.

设计意图： Through this way, I can help the students to get more information about the hometown. Also, I can open up the students’ mind to think about more places in the hometown in order to do the pairwork in the next step.

Step 3. Work in pairs

A: What’s this / that over there?

B: It’s ….

A: How long has it been here?

B: It has been here for/since….

Make up conversations by helping Lucy to know more places in our hometown.

设计意图：Through the previous steps, the students learned how to introduce the places. On the one hand, this activity can help the students to practice introducing the places by using the present perfect tense. On the other hand, prepare for the group work.

Step 4. Listening 1b&1c

Jenny introduces her hometown to Martin. Look through the tasks before listening. Lead the students to catch the key words while listening. Help the students to finish three tasks of this part. Analyze the introduction of Lucy’s hometown with the students.

设计意图：In this part, it is difficult for the students to get the answers of each task. Show the sentence structures to help them complete the answers. I also designed another task. Listen and fill in the blanks of the introduction of Jenny’s hometown. By analyzing the introducion, the students will learn how to introduce the hometown.

Step 5. Work in groups

Talk about the places in the hometown. Work together to complete the introductins of the hometown. Choose one or two students each group to share the introduction with the whole class.

设计意图：In this part, the students can learn from each other and help each other through teamwork and share their introductions with others, they can not only learn more ideas about the hometown but also understand how to introduce the hometown.

Step 6. Show time.

Encourage the chosen students to come to the front of the classroom to make a speech and show their introductions to the class.

Arrange the places they introduce with the whole class.

Through the introductions of the students, what do you think of our hometown?

Lead the students to say their opinions.

设计意图：It’s a good chance for the students to show their introductions and have an experience of speaking in public and in fact, it’s also a good way to make more people know more about our hometown. The most importantly, it’s a great way to show your love.

Step 7. Summary.

Ask the students to share what they have learned today.

And then, I draw a more completed conclusion and make the finishing point: study hard to build our hometown better and better.

设计意图：This part is set to give the students an opportunity to learn to generalize knowledge on their own and develop a good habit of making conclusions on study. 

Step 8. Homework.

Make a poster of our hometown.

设计意图： It can help the students arrange what we have learned in this period. At the same time, it’s also a good way to make more people learn about our city.

学生活动：

The students look at the picture and judge which place it is.

One of them stand up and tell me the answer: Xianyang Olympic Sports Center.

The students learn that Xianyang is our hometown and more and more tourists will come here because of the16th Games of Shaanxi Province.

The students travel around with Lucy and answer Lucy’s questions.

They work in pairs to introduce more places to Lucy.

The students show their conversations.

The students listen and compete 3 tasks to learn how to introduce hometown.

The students work in groups and talk about the places they have searched

for before the class. Work together to complete the introduction of the hometown.

The students introduce the hometown by standing in front of the class. All of them share the introduction and learn from each other so that they can open up their minds and love the hometown more.

The students share  what they learned in this period.

教学反思：   

本节课通过对故乡优美景点和标志性建筑物的介绍与讨论，引导学生逐步了解家乡；通过听力训练学习如何介绍家乡；最后通过小组合作学习，学生学会运用“现在完成时态”介绍家乡。本节课层层铺垫，逐步深入，水到渠成，提升了学生对“现在完成时态”的灵活运用能力，进一步激发了学生热爱家乡的情感。

当然，如果学生们介绍家乡时，他们所准备的照片资料颜色更加鲜艳，内容更加丰富的话，教学效果会更好。
