【学情分析】
本课授课对象是四年级学生，他们活泼好动，有着丰富的想象力和好奇心，对游戏、歌曲等活动特别感兴趣。也因为有一定的英语基础，他们的表现欲很强。他们对外面的世界，特别是外国的模样充满兴趣。因此我查找了色彩鲜丽的图片，吸引学生的注意力力。营造愉悦、快乐的课堂氛围，充分调动学生参与活动的积极性,使学生在亲身体验中展开有效的学习，保持学习英语的欲望和兴趣，从而提高英语学习的效率。

【教学过程】
Step 1: Warm－up
1.T:Let’s say the ppsites: big–small, tall-shrt, thin-fat, this-that. (设计意图:复习这些意义相反的形容词，激活学生原有的知识，为学习新知左铺垫。
2. Listen t the sng “Lndn bridge is falling dwn.” Ask the students sing the sng and d the actin.
Step 2: Presentatin

Ss: It’s in Lndn.
T: Yes, It’s in Lndn.
T: D yu knw Lndn? (shw the map f England and shw Lndn t the students) Teach the new wrd city.（设计意图：用一首与本课内容相关的歌曲的导入新课，即能让学生放松心情，又能快速导入新课Lndn is a big city.）

2.Let’s listen, pint and say. 播放课本活动一。在语境中学习新单词ship。(shw a picture f a ship) Lk, What’s this?
Ss: It’s a ship. (Teach the new wrd ship.)
T: Lndn is a big city.
It’s very big and very beautiful, we can g t Lndn by this ship!（设计意图：这一步骤不仅学习了新单词，还为以下的课堂学习创设了一个教学情境，让全班同学一起搭乘ship向充满异国情调的Lndn出发。）

T： What’s this?
Ss: Buckingham Palace.
T: Yes, It’s Buckingham palace. Hw d yu feel abut it? (Ask a student answer it.)

T: Yes, It’s s big. And... (shw anther picture f Bucking Palace)
Ss:It’s s beautiful. Teach the new wrd beautiful. Listen t the vice, then ask the students wh want try t read it. (Practice the imprtant sentence, then ask the student describe the things with the imprtant sentence.)（设计意图：出示实物花朵，向学生展示beautiful.花朵图，既让学生感到新奇，也更深层的体会到beautiful.）

Ask “Whse flwers is this?” Repeat the wrd “whse” teach the new wrd “whse” D mre practices abut whse. Pick up ne student’s bk, ask: “Whse bk is this?” (shw the queen’s huse, and the imprtant sentence.)

Ss: N, it isn’t.
