    引述某人的话可采用两种形式:一种是直接引语,即原封不动地引用原话,将其放在引号内;另一种是间接引语,即用自己的话加以转述,被转述的内容不放在引号内。
    陈述句→由that引导的宾语从句,引述动词通常用ask, tell等;如果直接引语讲的是客观事实或真理,变为间接引语时,时态不变。eg The teacher said t us, “Light travels faster than sund.” →The teacher tld us that light travels faster than sund.
    一般疑问句→由连词whether或if引导的宾语从句,其主句谓语动词常用ask, wnder, want t knw等。eg Mther asked me, “Have yu finished yur hmewrk?” →Mther asked me whether/if I had finished my hmewrk.
    选择疑问句→由whether ... r引导的宾语从句。eg “Are yu ging t Beijing r Shanghai fr the hlidays?” she asked. →She asked me whether I was ging t Beijing r Shanghai fr the hlidays.
    反意疑问句→由连词whether或if引导的宾语从句。eg “Yu dn’t like rck music, d yu?” he said. →He asked me whether/if I liked rck music.
    特殊疑问句→由连接代词或连接副词引导的宾语从句。eg “Hw many sleeping pills have yu taken?” asked the nurse. →The nurse asked me hw many sleeping pills I had taken.
    表示请求、劝告、建议等意义的疑问句变为间接引语:suggest + ding或ask/advise +宾语+动词不定式。eg “What abut starting early tmrrw mrning?” Jack said. →Jack suggested starting early tmrrw mrning.
    “Why dn’t yu take the rest f the day ff?” asked my assistant.→My assistant advised me t take the rest f the day ff.
    祈使句→动词+宾语+不定式。常见引述动词有tell, rder, ask, warn。如果祈使句为否定式,则在不定式前加nt。
    eg He said t Ann, “Tell me yur prblem.” →He tld Ann t tell him her prblem. “Be careful with the dg, bys,” she said. →She warned the bys t be careful with the dg. “Dn’t wrk in bed, Tm,” she said. →She tld Tm nt t wrk in bed.
    【注意】1. 时态变化 如果主句的谓语动词是一般过去时,直接引语变为间接引语时,从句的谓语动词在时态方面要做相应的变化。
    2. 人称变化 一随主、二随宾、第三人称不更新。 一随主:直接引语中第一人称变为与主句的主语相一致的人称。 二随宾:直接引语中第二人称变为和间接宾语(即听话人)相一致的人称。 第三人称不更新:直接引语中第三人称变为间接宾语时,人称不变。
    3. 指示代词、时间状语、地点状语和动词的变化。 直接引语变为间接引语时,指示代词、时间状语、地点状语和某些动词通常要相应变化。 this -- that ;these -- thse;nw -- then ;tnight -- that night ;tmrrw -- the next / fllwing day;yesterday -- the day befre;here -- there;cme -- g。

    指示代词/时间状语/地点状语等的变化

    the next day/year…
    注意:以上变化要根据实际情况而定,决不能机械照搬。如果就在当天转述,yesterday, tmrrw等时间状语不必改变;如果就在当地转述,here不必变为there。4. 语序变化直接引语如果是疑问句,变为间接引语时,要把疑问句语序变为陈述句语序。
