2、学生能够用“could, couldn’t”来描述过去具备和不具备的能力。

2.学生能够用“could,couldn’t”来描述过去所具备和不具备的能力。
教学难点:
学生能够流利地使用正确时态来描述自己的能力,能够复述Helen Keller的伟大事迹.

课件,点读笔,光盘
教学过程:
Step 1: Warm up
Greeting
Step 2: Presentation
1. Listen and read
T: Now, look, there is a girl in the picture, she lived in a town many years ago. Let’s see what she could do and what she couldn’t do.
Then ask some students to show the chant.
T: Do you know who she is?
Ss: Helen Keller.
T: You are right. Thank you. She is Helen Keller. She was a famous woman. Today, let’s learn Helen’s stories.
2. Explain difficult words on the screen
born, drew, letter, herself, all over, spell, world, live, became.
Then lead to read.
3. Learn the story
T: Ok, here, I have some questions for you. Who can read?
Ss: Read individually.
Q1.When was Helen Keller born?
Q2.Could she see and hear?
Q3.What did she learn?
S: Look at the questions and listen.
T: Ask the questions.
S: Volunteers to answer the questions.
T: Award them.
T: Show the story.
Students Read with deep feeling in different groups, boys read and girls read.
4. Read and write
Ask students to fill in the blanks. Then check the answers together. Then retell the story together.
