    Teaching Prcedures
    STEP 1 Using cmparatives
    Get tw pencils (One is new, the ther is used.) in hands and shw them t the students. Get the students t talk abut the tw pencils using cmparatives.
    A is lnger than B. B is shrter than A.
    A is as lng as C.
    Use pictures and things t d this several times. Make sure that the students can speak this structure very well.
    STEP 2 Talking abut the table
    Ask the students t lk at the table n page 10 again. Get them t talk abut the table nce again.
    Encurage the students t make mre sentences, using ‘(nt) as …s/as…’the mre sentences, the better.
    STEP 3 Filling in the blanks
    Shw the students a table as fllwing.
    Ask the students t wrk in grups f fur and first fill in the blanks by asking each ther questins. Then get the students t talk abut this infrmatin in grups f 4 students. Encurage them t use cmparatives, superlatives and ‘(nt) as… s /as…’t cmpare peple r things. STEP 4 Making sentences
    Tell the students that stars shw hw interesting the activity is and the triangles shw that hw dangerus the activity is.
    Get the students t talk abut Millie’s pinin first.
    Give the students 3 minutes t finish the exercises in Part C1 n page 15.
    (Fr weaker classes, the teacher better explain hw all this wrks.
    Fr strnger classes, just let the students t d it by themselves. )
    Check the answers tgether.
    Ask the students t fill in their wn infrmatin and talk abut it in grups.
    Encurage the students t make mre sentences like this. Here I can rganize a cmpetitin amng different grups. Or I can rganize sme chain wrk.
    STEP 5 A summary
