    Ingredients:

    ●4 tablespns f unsalted butter, plus mre sftened butter

    ●Salt and black pepper and 2 tablespns f tmat sauce
    ●1 large egg and 1 cup f whle milk
    ●2 cups f shredded lw-misture mzzarella(莫泽雷勒干酪)
    Directins:
    The night befre serving, spread the bread pieces n a sheet pan and let them sit n the cunter t dry ut.Alternatively, yu can bake them at 250 degrees until cmpletely dried ut and n lnger sft, 20 t 30 minutes.
    When ready t make the stuffing, transfer the bread t a large bwl.Heat the ven t 350 degrees and grease a 9-by-13-inch r 8-by-11-inch baking dish with sftened butter.Melt the 4 tablespns f butter in a large skillet ver medium-high and add the thinly sliced nin.Seasn with salt and pepper, and ck, stirring ccasinally, until slightly brwned at the edges, 5 t 7 minutes.Stir in the tmat sauce and ck until fragrant, abut 1 minute.
    In a medium bwl, beat the egg with a frk, then beat in the milk.Pur the milk mixture ver the bread and tss with tw spns until evenly cated.Add 1 cup f mzzarella and tss again until well cmbined.Let sit until the bread fully absrbs the liquid, abut 5 minutes.
    Transfer the stuffing and any accumulated liquid t the greased baking dish, spread them ut evenly and tp them with the remaining 1 cup f mzzarella.(T make ahead, yu can stp at this stage, cver the dish and refrigerate it fr up t 24 hurs.)
    Bake, uncvered, until heated thrugh and the cheese is melted, 15 t 25 minutes.(Yu may need t add a few minutes t the bake time if the stuffing has been refrigerated.)
